“There’s nothing wrong with that pero madalas na napu-pronta yung mga anchor.

“We want you to know the basically brain and the movers of behind the entire news organization of TV5,” dugtong ng beteranong broadcast journalist.

Ana, News5 Head of Operations; Patrick Paez, Head of Production, Roby Alampay, InterAksyon.com Editor-in-chief; at Ed Lingao, News5 anchor.

WHAT THEY BRING TO NEWS5.

“We say this with all humility, we’ve been through years and years of broadcast journalism and we know how the competition works,” ani Luchi.

“We also know how the competition is. At the moment, I think that’s something we can rightfully claim is singularly ours.

“While we know that ABS-CBN and GMA are also veterans and that make them formidable as news organizations.

“We would like to think that the main thing we bring into News5 is we have the experience that ABS-CBN and GMA separately have and we can bring those experiences at work here to our advantage, setting up from virtually zero.”

CAUTIOUS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA.

“Social media is really even changing the way journalists work.”

“We have learned to not put too much premium on speed. Dati scoop-an, e, unahan.

“Now we have learned our lesson.

“Nag-aantay muna kami ng you know, lalo na sa Facebook, we have learned to actually not play that game anymore because of the sheer number of news stories that can be actually churned out of social media without any kind of vetting, so parang ngayon pag napupulot namin sa social media parang, teka muna, hindi natin kailangang mauna dito kasi baka pag nauna tayo dito tapos mali, sunog tayo, patay tayo.

“That’s the price we have to pay for being right and we have learned our lesson also before.

“We would rather be right than first but wrong, so okay na rin 'yon."

“In this day and age, wala nang exclusive.

“Exclusive ka lang siguro for three seconds. Pag na-pick up na nung kabila, sila rin meron na rin silang version, tapos hindi mo na exclusive, so nag-iiba rin talaga yung laro.”
