Ismol Family’s Natalia Moon is proud to have represented the Philippines when she auditioned for Asia’s Got Talent months ago.
Natalia performed Rita Ora's "I Will Never Let You Down" and Nicki Minaj's "Superbass" during her audition but fell short of impressing the judging panel composed of former Spice Girls member Melanie C., Taiwanese idol and former F4 member Van Ness Wu, Indonesian superstar Anggun, and award-winning music producer David Foster.
In a recent interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the model-turned-actress said she joined to represent the Philippines even though she is a full-blooded Australian.
“It’s so galing talaga, a really different experience for me. That was my first competition ever.”
She added, “I just really wanted to represent the Philippines and I thought wow, you know, make competition around the world or Asia.
“And it’ll be amazing if I can represent the Philippines and give back kasi they accepted me here in the Philippines through showbiz and it’s so great talaga.’’
The Ismol Family actress doesn’t regret what she did on the show but Natalia wished she performed a Tagalog song instead.
“I’m so sobrang grateful talaga kasi laging sinusuportahan ako kahit anong mangyari.
“And you know, it was just for me I’m just so happy but I wish I sang a Tagalog song.”
Filipino act El Gamma Penumbra won the talent competition on Thursday night, May 14, at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
