ABS-CBN International's Lifestyle Network wins Emmy for feature on Rafe Totengco

Jeremiah Ysip, Keesa Ocampo, Jon Santos, Beverly Desuasido, Joe Perry and Albert Chung of Lifestyle Network received the Emmy award at the 44th Annual NorCal EMMY Award Ceremony in San Francisco.


ABS-CBN’s International channel Lifestyle Network has earned its first Emmy award.

It received an Emmy for its original series Haute The Record for its feature segment on Rafe Totengco.

Lifestyle Network was able to beat three other finalsits in the category, Lifestyle - Feature Segment.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences San Francisco/Northern California is one of the 20 chapters awarding regional Emmy Awards. The chapter is composed of television/cable stations, online and production companies from Visalia to the Oregon border and includes Hawaii and Reno, Nevada.

This year, a total of 324 entries were nominated and 92 received the Emmy statuette.

Haute The Record is a show that showcases the journey of Filipino fashion designers who have penetrated the international scene.

Rafe Totengco is a New York-based Filipino fashion designer known for his namesake handbag collection called Rafe New York, now available at leading U.S. boutiques.

The award was presented at the 44th Annual Northern California Area EMMY Award Ceremony last June 6 at the SF Jazz Center in San Francisco, California.

Lifestyle Network is the newest channel launched by ABS-CBN International in the United States.

Haute The Record was able to beat three other finalists: Pic Your Dish by Coronacast Productions, and two entries from San Francisco Government TV (sfgovtv.org): QuickBites: Craft Coffee and QuickBites: SFO Eateries.

In addition, ABS-CBN International videographer Jeremiah Ysip was nominated for an individual award under the category Outstanding Achievement Photographer-Program.

According to ABS-CBN North America Managing Director Olivia De Jesus, winning the Emmy Award is a fulfillment of the network’s goal.

"When we launched Lifestyle Network in 2013, our goal was to come up with a channel that inspires Filipinos in America to fulfill their passion and realize their dreams.

“By winning this Emmy for our series that celebrated precisely that spirit of creativity and excellence of the Filipino, we ourselves realized a dream with this coveted industry recognition.
