What began as a far-fetched dream is slowly becoming a solid reality. This Saturday, May 17, Pinoy Idol will announce the top 24 hopefuls who will be a step closer to public recognition. Who will continue to battle towards becoming the first-ever Pinoy Idol?
In the past weeks, viewers have witnessed how the appreciative judge Ogie Alcasid turned bitter cold because one aspirant arrived late. They have seen how the kind-hearted judge Jolina Magdangal cried for the blind hopeful who was eliminated. And how Wyngard Tracy grew more and more discerning as contestants were being eliminated. As each episode unfolds, the judges give us hints on what makes them smile and what makes them sick.
On the other hand, viewers have witnessed how the aspirants dealt with each other while presenting their duets. Some cried tears when they were not able to cope rhythmically with their partner while others were able to adapt, allowing them to stay in the competition. Now that there will only be 24 of them left, what should they do to please the judges—and the viewers?
The competition in Pinoy Idol is growing more and more intense. Being part of the top 24 not only means going on with the battle but, more importantly, getting noticed. How far would these hopefuls go to prove that they deserve to be noticed and to achieve the long-awaited ticket to stardom?
What comfort would they receive from the kind host Raymond Gutierrez this time? Will it be a hug of congratulations or a goodbye hug?
All these questions will be answered in the May 17 episode of Pinoy Idol on GMA-7, 6:30 pm, right after Pinoy Records.
