The Philippines earned two nominations in the 20th Asian TV Awards.
Michael V is once again nominated in the Asian TV Awards. The Pepito Manaloto star is one of the eight nominees competing in the Best Comedy Performance by an Actor category.
The GMA-7 actor-comedian already won three Asian TV Awards for the same category: in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
The other entry from the Philippines is the Kapuso game show Celebrity Bluff. Hosted by Eugene Domingo and Jose Manalo, it is one of the eight programs competing in the Best Game or Quiz Programme category.
Michael V is competing against Yang Hao-Yu of Jump Class (Singapore); Ivana Wong of Come On, Cousin (Hong Kong); Michelle Tay of Koji Cooks (Singapore); Cyrus Broacha of The Week That Wasn’t (India); Chu Mi-Mi of Love is Love – Sunset (Singapore); Chinniah Veeraraghavan of Tamil.Com (Singapore); and Duan Wei-Ming of Love is Love – Sunset (Singapore).
Meanwhile, the JoGe (Jose-Eugene) game show is pitted against Horo Game/Wan-Tha-Duang (Thailand); Pritsana Fah Laep/Lightning Quiz (Thailand); Crazy Magic (China) Game-Jak-Geng/The Car Jackpot Game (Thailand); Berpacu Dalam Melodi (Indonesia); The Money Drop Thailand (Thailand); and The Genius Game (Korea).
The winners of the 2015 Asian TV Awards will be announced during the awarding ceremony to be held on December 2-3 at Suntec, Singapore.
