Alden, Maine, Joey, Tito Sotto & Dabarkads witness Eat Bulaga contract renewal with GMA

Eat Bulaga renews its ties with GMA-7.

T.A.P.E. Inc., the management company behind the 36-year-old noontime show, renewed its contract with GMA Network, earlier today, January 28.

Present during the contract signing were GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto Duavit and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong.

The longest-running noontime show in the country was represented by T.A.P.E. President and CEO Mr. Antonio P. Tuviera and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ms. Malou Choa-Fagar.

“Ang tagal-tagal na natin kasama ‘tong Eat Bulaga," Atty. Gozon was quoted as saying in a report published on GMANetwork.com.

"Ang masasabi ko lang I am very happy na tayo naman ang pinili ng Eat Bulaga na home station nila at wala tayong problema over the past 15 years. There will be more of the same, more success, more ratings, more friendship, more fellowship.”

Joey de Leon and Tito Sotto, pioneer hosts of Eat Bulaga, were among those who witnessed the contract renewal held at the headquarters of GMA Network.

Also present that day were Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza and Kalyeserye mainstays Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros (who wore gowns as they assumed their identities as  Lola Tinidora, Lola Nidora, and Lola Tidora).

Allan K, Pia Guanio, Anjo Yllana, Ruby Rodriguez, Jimmy Santos, and Patricia Tumulak were among the Dabarkads spotted at the event.

When Mr. Tuviera was asked what viewers can expect in the future, he promised, "Ipagpapatuloy naman namin kung ano yung tumatakbo ngayon kagaya ng kalye-serye at tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang pag-iisip ng mga bago at saka yung ibang old ideas, bibigyan ng bagong spin. Kaya yun ang mga aabangan sa Eat Bulaga."

Alden expressed his gratitude for the show by saying, "We are giving our full support to the show because it has give us so much, and for sure, marami pang magandang mangyayari sa mga taong darating sa GMA and sa Eat Bulaga!"

For his part, Jose Manalo foresees that the show will always remain a Kapuso. "Siguro wala na talagang alisan. Dito na talaga ang Eat Bulaga! sa GMA."
