Love was in the air during the February 6 episodes of noontime shows Eat Bulaga and It's Showtime.
EAT BULAGA. The #ALDUBYouGoodbye episode of Eat Bulaga showed a flashback recalling the sad love story of Nidora and Anselmo.
Maine Mendoza brought life to the young Nidora while Alden Richards portrayed the bedridden Anselmo.
In the hospital, Nidora lightly kisses Anselmo on the forehead twice. She encourages him to get well for her and their baby. She even sings to him until he sleeps.
When he falls asleep, she leaves quietly but with a heavy heart. Anselmo is clueless about her arrangement with Mama Arianna (played by Paolo Ballesteros).
Nidora asked help from Mama Arianna regarding Anselmo’s condition as he badly needs to undergo an operation. The operation would cost P20,000.
Mama Arianna agrees to help but under the condition that Nidora will leave Anselmo for good and that she will go to America.
“Ang tunay na pag-ibig ay sakripisyo. Di lang kilig,” said the stern Mama Arianna.
Since she loves Anselmo deeply, Nidora was willing to sacrifice even if it meant leaving her beloved for good.
Adding more pain to her heart was her miscarriage, causing her to lose their baby. Nidora was unable to tell Anselmo about it.
Anselmo gets the needed operation. When he wakes up in the hospital, he asks for Nidora. His cousin Pepito disclosed to him that Nidora hasn't visited him since the last time she was there. They discovered that someone has paid for the hospital bills. Anselmo felt hurt and "abandoned" that Nidora was not there for him.
As Anselmo recuperates, Nidora is seen riding the car that would bring her to the airport. This marked the end of the flashback sequence of Nidora's love story.
In the present time, Alden and Divina (Maine) were at the Eat Bulaga studio with the Lolas. Alden prepared a special surprise song performance for them.
He sings “Tuloy Pa Rin” to the delight of the audience. While he is singing, images of Nidora and Anselmo are flashed on screen.
Before the segment ended, Lola Nidora took Alden and Divina's hands and asked them: "Handa na ba kayong umibig?”
At that point, the horn sounded, marking the end of the segment.
