Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid’s tandem will be back on primetime via the political rom-com mini series Naku, Boss Ko.
In fact, the two have already started taping for this new series slated to air this April.
This two-week series is especially created in time for the upcoming 2016 Philippine elections.
A report from GMANetwork.com, indicates that the story of Naku, Boss Ko will revolve around "two star-crossed lovers from competing political affiliations and opposing economic status."
Gabbi and Ruru were also quoted as saying that the series will help viewers vote wisely during the elections.
"Maganda siya kasi first time na ire-relate yung politics sa rom-com para maintindihan din siya ng mga young voters natin,” said Gabbi in the interview.
Ruru added, "Ito yung last chance nila para mapag-isipan nila kung sino dapat ang kanilang iboto sa eleksyon.”
The GabRu love team will be joined by Tessie Tomas, Leo Martinez, and newcomer Arianne Bautista. The series will be helmed by Marlon Rivera, who is best known for his Cinemalaya entry Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank.
Gabbi and Ruru were previously paired in the primetime TV series Let The Love Begin, which ended its run last August.
Ruru was then briefly paired with Barbie Forteza in the daytime series The Half Sisters and in an episode of Dangwa.
Meanwhile, Gabbi did an episode of Maynila alongside Starstruck 6 winner Migo Adecer.
Gabbi and Ruru both admitted that they auditioned for the 2016 remake of Encantadia, but are still waiting if they made it to the final cut.
