After gaining popularity in the Philippines, online sensation Jeyrick Sigmaton (popularly known as Carrot Man) has been featured in a TV show in South Korea.
The 21-year-old Igorot from Mountain Province captured the interest of South Korean media. He was featured on the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) 1TV show titled Global Information Show that aired last Saturday, March 5, around 11:30 p.m.
A segment of the show discussed how Jeyrick became an overnight celebrity in the country and compared him with top South Korean male celebrities including Won Bin, Jang Geun Suk, and Lee Min Ho.
The host of Global Information Show also noted that the term "Carrot Man" has become one of the most-searched terms on Google and that #CarrotMan also became a trending topic on Twitter.
The show also featured other online sensations who became instant celebrities around the world including an African woman carrying a pile of bread on her head who later bagged a modeling contract.

Jeyrick gained popularity in social media when photos of him harvesting carrots became viral on Facebook. The photos were taken by Chee-Nee De Guzman and Edwina Bandong while on their way to Sagada last February 6.
Since then, Jeyrick has appeared in several programs in GMA-7. These are Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Unang Hirit, and Wowowin where he met his biggest celebrity idol, Willie Revillame.
Jeyrick shed tears when Willie promised to shoulder his school expenses until he finishes studying.
