Is Jeyrick Sigmaton, aka Carrot Man, GMA-7's next big star?

In case you missed it, Jeyrick became popular after photos of him harvesting carrots in Benguet circulated in different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many others.

The photos were originally uploaded by friends Chee-Nee De Guzman and Edwina Bandong who happened to spot him doing his job while on their way to Sagada last February 6.

Jeyrick first appeared on TV through GMA-7's magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. Since then, he has had several TV appearances including Unang Hirit and Wowowin.

After his TV interview, the 20-year-old farmer-turned-online sensation tried acting for the first time through the Kapuso network's comedy programs—Sunday PinaSaya and Bubble Gang.

Jerick's first acting stint was for Sunday PinaSaya last March 12, where he appeared on the show's ‘Madramarama Presents: Adarna’ segment with Ai-Ai delas Alas. For the comedy skit, Jeyrick portrayed a character named CarMa, one of Punita's (Ai-Ai delas Alas) new victims. After delivering a few lines, Jeyrick's character transformed and Kapuso actor Ken Chan assumed the role.
