Carol Banawa’s classic song “Bakit Di Totohanin” was used in one of the scenes of Vampire Diaries, an American supernatural drama television series.
In episode 716 of this Hollywood show, the song was played in a scene featuring Paul Wesley (Stefan) and Elizabeth Blackmoore (Valerie).
Hollywood actor-turned-director Ian Somerhalder helmed this particular episode. It will be recalled that Ian visited the Philippines in 2012 for a clothing line endorsement.
Carol, for her part, expressed her gratitude via Instagram.
She wrote, “They have aired it already! #thevampirediaries used my song in one of the scenes for the episode 716.
“It was a scene between Stefan and Valerie They used, “BAKIT DI TOTOHANIN”
“I am in disbelief right now but very grateful!”
Of course, she didn’t forget to thank Chris Mollere, the show’s music supervisor, Hollywood actor-turned-director Ian Somerhalder, and the show’s cast for featuring her song.
She ended her caption, “Try to catch it tonight on CW, April 1! #grateful #unexpectedblessing #godisgood. You can watch the scene! Link on my bio.”
"Bakit Di Totohanin" was first released in 1997 under the album Carol.
