Princess Punzalan praised her young co-actors in ABS-CBN's primetime series The Story of Us.
In an interview, the returning actress said how impressed she was with the soap opera's lead actress Kim Chiu.
She told entertainment reporters, “Impressed ako kay Kim kung gaano kabilis siya mag-produce ng luha and it's not like crocodile tears na dahil sa eye drops or menthol.
“Makikita mo na organic talaga, something is happening on her brain, sa puso niya, bago lumabas ang luha when she's acting.
“That's one thing na [importante] lalo na kapag soap opera, kailangan magaling kang mag-produce ng luha dahil palaging mayroong reason para umiyak.
“I'm quite impressed how it's easy for her to be in the zone when she's in front of the camera.”
Likewise, Princess was also equally impressed by Kim's leading men, Xian Lim and Bryan Santos.
“I like Xian's passion, pagiging seryoso niya sa kanyang pag-arte. Same thing kay Brian,” she said.
Princess, who is cast as Bryan's mother in The Story of Us, also noted the professionalism of the young Kapamilya actors on the set of The Story of Us.
She related, “I actually enjoy working with Kim, Xian, and Bryan because they're very serious with their jobs.
“Seryoso sila, they come prepared to work. Kapag nasa taping sila, ang priority nila is trabaho, hindi sila 'yong text nang text.
“Most of my scenes kasi is with Bryan, nakikipag-discuss siya sa akin kung ano ang gagawin sa eksena.
“Nakikita mong seryoso talaga sa trabaho.
“It's very refreshing to see young people who are passionate about what they do.”
ENJOYING WORK. In a separate interview, Princess was asked what lessons she wants learn from her young co-stars.
The celebrity mom and U.S. registered nurse smiled and said, “I'd like to learn how to have more fun.”
She explained, “I guess it's the time and season in my life where everything is to serious now.
“Siyempre, masarap makita 'yong kapag bata pa you're just fresh, you're just starting out, wala pang masyadong responsibilidad.
“You have your youth on your side so everything must be easier.”
