GMA-7's Primetime Queen Marian Rivera invades the morning slot with her new daytime talk show Yan Ang Morning!
The Kapuso show premiered yesterday, May 2, at 10:45 a.m. The program also features comedian and Marian's BFF Boobay as her co-host.
This serves as the comeback of morning talk shows on the Kapuso network after The Ryzza Mae Show went on hiatus in 2015 to give way for Princess In The Palace.
In this morning program, Marian delivers fun facts, how-tos, and trivia for moms just like her. Her talk show had three segments: Mommy tips were given in the Do It Like Yan segment, mommies shared their opinions on the day's topic for the OK Yan O Wag Yan? segment, and lastly, Marian showed dance moves to keep mommies like her fit via the Zumba With Yan segment.
Marian had one of her closest friends for the May 2 pilot episode of her new show. Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas shared lessons she learned while bringing up son Sancho and his siblings Sean Nicolo and Sofia Vera.
Ai-Ai admitted that there were differences in her parenting style for her two boys—Sean Nicolo and Sancho—compared to her only daughter Sofia.
She explained, "Depende rin kasi, siya kasi only daughter ko siya [Sofia Vera], e. So minsan ina-attest niya siguro na, 'Bunso ako, I'm the only girl.' So iba yung atake ko sa kaniya."
Sancho added, "Iba din yung atake niya sa akin." He continued, "E, kasi since siya yung bunso, babae pa, pag may argumento or kaguluhan pangyayare or may sakuna sa bahay, siyempre yung kuya laglag."
Ai-Ai further explained on why she sides with her daughter Sofia most of the time, "Naawa kasi ako sa kanya dahil may kakampi siya e, dalawa silang lalaki. Yung isa wala."
She also advised, "Yun din pala, kung meron din naman kayong ibubuhay dun sa mga anak niyo, mas maganda kung equal. Dalawang babae, dalawang lalaki.
"Para neutral, kasi mahirap, e, yung isa may kakampi, yung isa wala, e."
Meanwhile, Sancho is getting ready to become a father as his girlfriend Shanna Retuya is now two months pregnant. Sancho said that his mom has always been giving him advice when it comes to fatherhood.
