Sharon Cuneta is happy to have good chemistry with the original coaches of The Voice.
In a recent interview with the Megastar on the set of The Voice Kids, she related how she easily got along with coaches Lea Salonga and Bamboo Manalac during the blind auditions.
“So far, it's been fun. I'm so grateful to God for the chemistry,” Sharon told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters.
“Siyempre, there was no way to find out if there was such a thing until we started taping.
“Awa ng Diyos, it seemed that the audience laughed a lot, we were laughing a lot.
“We were having so much fun just bantering, fake fighting over our contestants.
“Ang sarap na ang kasama mo ay dalawang super pros, super experts, and super icons.
“Parang I'm so honored to be in such company.”
Since this is her first time to be a coach on The Voice, Sharon admitted that she asked help from her fellow coaches.
She related with a smile, “I'm really nervous. Sabi ko kina Lea and Bamboo, 'Can you just give me tips if I'm medyo nawala.'
“Kasi minsan [nangangapa] ka, there's a sequence to it.
“At saka 'yong unang-unang fear ko, 'yong pag-ikot ng silya.
“Kasi, sabi ni Lea, 'By the time the season ends, may abs ka na.' Totoo naman.”
At the time of the interview, Coach Sharon already had a couple of kids on her team.
She is hoping that she will become the coach of the next The Voice Kids winner.
“Naku, ang hirap sabihin na sa akin manggagaling. Pero the truth is, 'yan ang prayer,” Sharon said.
“It's my first time to coach here. Of course, everyone know all over the world that The Voice is prestigious.
“Just to be part of this family, parang it gives you a lot of extra points, di ba?
“You're a little more respectable even.
“Ako, I'm praying that the champ comes from my camp.”
