The search is on for the next young singing sensation on ABS-CBN's reality-talent competition The Voice Kids Philippines Season 3.
The third edition of the top-rating reality-talent competition officially premiered last weekend, May 28 and 29, with returning coaches Lea Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac.
Completing this season's line-up of coaches is Megastar Sharon Cuneta replacing Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo on the red chair.
After the Blind Auditions last weekend, eight aspiring young singers will advance to the Battle rounds of the talent show. Four young singers have joined Team Lea's group and these are Eleana Gabunada, Peter Vallejos, Noel Comia Jr., and Yessha dela Calzada.
Meanwhile, three auditionees picked Team Sharon and they are Timoty Pepito, Yuliyah Agraviador, and John Paul Gumandoy. Last but not the least, Xylein Herrera made it to Bamboo's Camp Kawayan.
KANTAR NATIONWIDE. The Voice Kids PH Season 3 started off on a high note last weekend after scoring almost double the ratings of the rival program from GMA-7 based on nationwide data gathered by Kantar/TNS Media.
The ABS-CBN show's pilot episode last May 28 kicked off with a 35.6% on nationwide ratings versus its rival GMA-7 show Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay Na Kuwento which scored 17.9%.
The Kapamilya talent search even widened the gap after garnering 36.6% for its Sunday episode last May 29, against a different Kapuso comedy show titled Ismol Family which only registered 14.1% nationwide.
AGB MEGA MANILA. The Voice Kids PH Season 3 was also well-received in Mega Manila based on data gathered by AGB Nielsen.
The Kapamilya show managed to score a rating of 18.8% in Mega Manila last May 28. This represents a 1.7-point gap against the Kapuso sitcom Pepito Manaloto Ang Tunay Na Kuwento's 20.5%.
The third season of The Voice Kids PH also managed to take the lead on Sunday, May 29, after garnering a rating of 19.2% in Mega Manila against Kapuso show Ismol Family's 17%.
