This time, Imaw gets the spotlight as Direk Mark Reyes shares a photo of the well-loved telefantasya character.

In the original Kapuso series, Imaw served as the tribe leader of Adamya and and chief adviser to the diwatas of the kingdom of Lireo. Imaw wields a magical staff called the "Mahiwagang Tungkod" which allows them to take a peek at past events.

In an Instagram post, Direk Mark shared Imaw's new look on his first shooting day for Encantadia 2016.

Direk Mark also took note of the new technology they used for Imaw. He provided the caption: "11 years ago. We had a traditional hand and cable puppet in #Encantadia named Imaw. Now, 11 years after, the cables are gone and is now replaced by radio controlled servos. He's now a fully animatronic head puppet worn by a performance artist. #LeapsAndBound #Milestones #Encantadia2016 #encantadiks"

Rocco Nacino, who portrays the new Aquil on the show, also welcomed the magical creature by sharing his photo with Imaw as well as Marian Rivera as Ynang Reyna. His caption: "Imaw's first day of taping! Welcome Pinunong Imaw! #Encantadia2016."
