The first trailer of James Reid and Nadine Lustre's upcoming primetime series is finally here!
James and Nadine lead the cast of ABS-CBN's romantic comedy series Til I Met You. The JaDine series, directed by Antoinette Jadaone, will premiere this August 29, on the Kapamilya Network's primetime block replacing Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano's drama series Dolce Amore.
Till I Met You is reportedly going to have a theme geared towards the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community. Both James and Nadine confirmed this during their interview in Tonight With Boy Abunda before leaving for Greece where they shot some of the scenes of the series.
Nadine said, "Mayroon siyang theme na LGBT. Super brave nitong teleserye na ito. It's something new, it's something very different, and it's something na unusual dito sa atin." Meanwhile, James added, "We're proud to be ones who get to tackle that issue."
CHARACTERS. In Till I Met You, Nadine will play Iris, a responsible daughter who hopes to give her family a comfortable life.
Meanwhile, James will play Sebastian or Basti, a rebellious and free-spirited young man who is not on good terms with his father.
They will be joined by JC Santos who will portray Alejandro or Ali, Iris' best friend who is raised by a general.
Other cast members include Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi, Pokwang, and Angel Aquino.
FULL TRAILER. The first official trailer of the series was revealed today, August 16.
The trailer opened with Nadine's character narrating a quote about finding your true love. "San man dako ka ng mundo makarating, matatagpuan mo ang taong mamahalin ka rin habang buhay. Kaya dapat, matutunan mong pakinggan ang tibok ng puso mo."
This was followed by a wedding scene of Carmina and Richard Yap's characters.
The teaser also revealed more about James, Nadine, and JC's characters.
It was revealed that Iris is in love with her best friend Ali. Fate brought them to Greece where they met Basti, who happens to be a close friend of Ali. It can be assumed that Ali and Iris are in a no-label relationship when he introduced her to Basti as a "best friend." This situation happened even though Ali and Iris told each other "I love you" before going to Greece.
Iris, then, felt alienated upon seeing the closeness of Ali and Basti. Later on, Basti is seen developing deeper feelings for Iris.
