Filipino fans of Sandara Park are patiently waiting for her return on Philippine TV via Pinoy Boyband Superstar to be hosted by Billy Crawford.
The 2NE1 member will join Vice Ganda, Yeng Constantino, and Aga Muhlach in the judging panel of ABS-CBN's upcoming reality-talent search.
In an interview for Tonight With Boy Abunda aired last Monday, August 15, Dara expressed her excitement for her return on Philippine TV.
She explained, "Excited ako na magiging judge ako sa isang reality show sa Philippines kasi diyan din nagsimula ang pangarap ko 'di ba? Sobrang special din sa akin."
Being a member of South Korea's top girl group 2NE1, Dara already has in mind the qualities she look for in a boy band member.
She pointed out, "Kailangan nila yung something special na wala sa ibang guy and I'm looking for a group of guys who sound great and look great."
The 31-year-old actress/singer continued, "I think it is important that they know how to support each other and make good chemistry kasi nga 'di ba, boy band."
This will Dara's first time to judge a Philippine talent competition.
What kind of judge will she be on the show?
Dara answered, "Curious din ako kung what kind of judge I'll be. Naisip ko kung magiging katulad din kaya ako ni Tito Boy [Abunda]. Kasi kapag naaalala ko sa akin yung mga sinabi niya sa akin, masakit. Pero kung iisipin ko ngayon, there were lessons that I needed to learn. So gusto ko rin maging someone who can help them to make their dreams come true."
Last Tuesday, August 16, Sandara was spotted in Bonifacio Global City and in Calamba while shooting for a travel show in South Korea titled Battle Trip.
With 2NE1's hiatus, Sandara has been busy with her acting jobs which includes Dr. Ian, Missing Korea, and We Broke Up.
Aside from Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Dara will also be seen on the big screen for her first lead role via the South Korean movie One Step.
The film is described as the Korean version of the 2013 American musical comedy-drama Begin Again starring Keira Knightley and Adam Levine.
