The character of Santina will be portrayed by Julie Anne while Ephraim is the name of Benjamin's character.
The Santina character was first portrayed by Lorna Tolentino while Ephraim was first played by Gabby Concepcion.
On September 30, Julie Anne first shot scenes with co-star Martin del Rosario, basing on photos she uploaded on her Instagram stories.
In this Kapuso series, Martin's character is Emman, Santina's childhood friend. The said character is a new addition to the TV version and was not seen in the 1987 movie.
Later that night, Benjamin also taped some scenes with Julie Anne, based on an Instagram story that he shared.
Last September 19, Benjamin and their co-star LJ Reyes had already started taping for the upcoming afternoon series.
Before heading to China to shoot her movie Mano Po, Jean Garcia was also able to tape scenes for the show with Victor Neri.
As of press time, no airing date has been announced yet for this series directed by Gina Alajar.
