After creating buzz in Vietnam and Barcelona, Spain, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo can now be seen in Latin America as their teleserye Pangako Sa ’Yo (La Promesa) premiered in Peru last September 22.
ABS-CBN's 2015 remake of Pangako Sa ’Yo starring the Kathniel tandem as well as Ian Veneracion, Angelica Panganiban, and Jodi Sta. Maria is dubbed in Spanish and airs on Peruvian television via TV channel PanAmericana.
Panamericana Television is a leading TV station in Peru that has produced telenovelas that became successful throughout Latin America.
Pangako Sa ’Yo is the second Filipino series to be aired in the said territory following the successful airing of Bridges of Love (Puentes De Amor) topbilled by Jericho Rosales, Paulo Avelino and Maja Salvador.
In January 2016, Daniel and Kathryn made headlines after they won Best Foreign Actor and Actress in this year’s Face of the Year Awards held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Their most recent film, Barcelona: A Love Untold, was shot in Spain.
The movie has already earned than P200 million in ticket sales, according to Star Cinema.
