ABS-CBN and GMA's Saturday drama anthologies are already gearing up for Halloween-inspired episodes .
In fact, ABS-CBN's Ipaglaban Mo and GMA News TV's Wagas will already show horror-themed episodes this October 8.
Instead of scaring viewers, the episodes just might make audiences drool as the lead male stars Dominic Roque and Jak Roberto bare their sexy bods.
DOMINIC ROQUE IN IPAGLABAN MO. In the "Aswang" episode of ABS-CBN's show, Dominic plays Kajo, whose family transferred to another town in order to move on from the loss of the family's matriarch.
However, upon the arrival of his family, eerie things start to happen in the barrio, causing the townsmen led by Anton (Archie Alemania) to think that they are "aswangs."
Later on, Kajo is accused of killing Anton's sister Alma (Michelle Vito), which prompts the townsmen to kill the former's family that ended up in bloodshed.
Viewers have yet to find out if it is really Kajo who killed Alma and if they really belong to the kin of "aswangs."
The episode of Ipaglaban Mo is directed by Ludwig Peralta and airs after It's Showtime.
JAK ROBERTO IN WAGAS. GMA News TV's Wagas episode depicts the story of Josie (Mercedes Cabral) and Rody (Dion Ignacio) who live in a remote area in Quezon.
While doing her laundry in the river, Josie chances upon a good-looking man named Jonathan (Jak) who always wears white clothes.
Even though she is already married, Josie finds herself attracted to Jonathan and they clandestinely meet in the river.
It was later on discovered that Jonathan is a "tikbalang" who transforms at night.
From then on, Josie starts acting strangely, and her husband Rody saw her moaning as if being attacked by someone in the middle of the night.
When Rody brought her to a faith healer, they found out that Josie is under a spell of the "tikbalang" and worse, is pregnant with his child.
As Josie's body weakens because of the spell, Rody will have to find a way to heal his wife.
This horror episode of Wagas titled "Pag-ibig sa Kabilang Daigdig" airs at 7 p.m. on GMA News TV.
Meanwhile, GMA-7's Karelasyon (starring Philip Salvador) and Magpakailanman (featuring Yasmien Kurdi and Raymart Santiago) also feature horror-themed episodes.
ABS-CBN's Maalaala Mo Kaya will air a replay of the late Miriam Defensor-Santiago's life story (starring Maja Salvador and Tessie Tomas) that was first aired in 2004.
