Lovi Poe is reunited with her former love team partner Cogie Domingo for the primetime series Someone To Watch Over Me.

Cogie Domingo was the newest addition to the cast members of GMA-7's primetime TV series Someone To Watch Over Me, which stars Lovi Poe, Max Collins, and Tom Rodriguez.

He was cast as Ian, the neighbor of Joanna (Lovi) and TJ (Tom) whose wife died of cancer.

Later on, Ian became their new friend, especially TJ who has early onset Alzheimer's Disease.

Joanna thanked Ian for being friends with TJ despite her husband's sickness.

"Sa stage ng sakit ngayon ni TJ, hindi ko alam na magkakaroon ng bagong kaibigan."

Ian told her, "I know exactly what you're going through. Kaya kung kailangan mo ng kausap, nandito lang ako."

At the end of the teaser, TJ was seen asking his new friend, "Gusto mo ba si Joanna?"

This project served as the reunion of Lovi and Cogie in a drama series.

It can be recalled that Cogie was the first love team partner of Lovi in the 2006 teleserye Bakekang and the weekly series Love to Love: Jass Got Lucky.

Cogie's last teleserye was GMA's afternoon series Buena Familia wherein he played a villain. He also had a guest appearance in ABS-CBN's Ipaglaban Mo earlier this year.

HIGH RATINGS. Meanwhile, in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Lovi expressed happiness over the positive feedback that the Kapuso show has been receiving since its pilot episode.

Someone To Watch Over Me is currently enjoying high TV ratings in Urban Luzon, based on data gathered by AGB Nielsen.

She said, "We're happy kasi we are able to share with everybody yung story ng isang tao na may Alzheimer's disease.

"Kumbaga it's not just about a love story, it's raising awareness so parang happy kami dahil may mga nagcocomment sa IG [Instagram] ko, sa Twitter ako na yung family member nila pinagdadaanan din yun, so nakakarelate sila.

"So yung mga tao naman, na-e-enlighten sila na nangyayari talaga ito."

Lovi is also happy that their show was able to differentiate itself from ABS-CBN's afternoon series The Greatest Love, which is also enjoying positive feedback because of its story.

It can be recalled that The Greatest Love's protagonist Gloria is also diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. The lead character is played by Sylvia Sanchez.

The pilot episodes of the two shows also aired on the same day: September 5.

Are they really making a conscious effort to differentiate Someone to Watch Over Me from The Greatest Love?

Lovi explained, "I don’t think it's about making a conscious effort, I think it's about doon mo makikita ang iba't ibang creativity ng iba't ibang writers.

"I look up to all of the writers, don’t get me wrong, it’s the fact na of course, there are similar stories, hindi mo maiwasan yun.

"But it's about how creative their minds are na nagagawan nila ng kakaibang kwento so I really look up to writers. If I could be one, I would really be one."

In a previous interview with PEP before the airing of The Greatest Love, Sylvia believes it is healthy competition for both networks to air shows with the same theme but with a different attack.

She said, "I think ito yung tinatawag na healthy competition. Iba yung istorya nila, istorya yun ng mag-asawa, love team yung mag-asawa.

"Ito, istorya ng pamilya, ng nanay. Although pamilya din sila, pero dito sentro ang nanay.

"So maganda yun, meron silang ganon, meron kaming ganito.
