It seems like GMA-7's first telefantasya, Mulawin, is finally making a TV comeback, with Dennis Trillo as its lead star.
This is according to an Instagram post made by Dennis's manager Popoy Caritativo yesterday, November 8.
In the photo, the talent manager and Dennis were shown meeting with GMA Drama executives Lilybeth Rasonable, Helen Rose Sese, Cheryl Ching-Sy, and writer RJ Nuevas.
The manager said in his caption, "Meeting para sa pinaka bagong primetime show! #Mulawin2017 #MulingPaglipad #DennisTrillo."
It can be recalled that the comeback of Mulawin was first hinted at when Miguel Tanfelix reprised his role as Pagaspas in the requel of Encantadia 2016.
Alden Richards also had a special appearance in Encantadia when he played the Mulawin named Lakan, who was not in the original Encantadia or Mulawin series.
The original Mulawin, which first aired in 2004, was topbilled by Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez. The show catapulted both of them to stardom.
Currently, both stars are not signed up anymore with GMA. Angel is with ABS-CBN while Richard is with VIVA Artists Agency.
Meanwhile, Dennis played the third wheel to Angel and Richard in the series and found out that he is part of the clan of Ravenas, the mortal enemies of the Mulawins.
There has been no announcement yet if GMA if will air a remake, a sequel, or a requel of the telefantasya.
