Jean Garcia on delay of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa airing: "Dapat November 'yan, pero kasi hindi namin na-close yung first week." Benjamin Alves announced via Instagram that GMA-7's remake of the 1987 movie will be aired in January 2017.

After finishing the primetime series Once Again, actress Jean Garcia was supposed to be seen in another GMA-7 teleserye this 2016: the TV remake of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa.

The series is topbilled by LJ Reyes, Martin del Rosario as well as rumored couple Julie Anne San Jose and Benjamin Alves.

However, the show has still not aired on GMA's Afternoon Prime block.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Jean during the press con of Mano Po 7: Chinoy why the Kapuso teleserye has not yet aired.

Jean explained, "Oo, dapat November 'yan, pero kasi hindi namin na-close yung first week so nauna na yung kela Eula [Valdes]," referring to the afternoon show Hahamakin Ang Lahat.

"So hindi ko alam kung kelan kami, kung this year or early next year. Pero nagte-tape na kami."

It was previously reported that Jean will breathe life to the role once portrayed by veteran actor Eddie Garcia in the 1987 movie.

Jean confirmed this, but she cannot divulge details about her role yet.

She reasoned out with a smile, "Oo, pero hindi pa kasi wala pang presscon, kasi ginagawa pa lang natin, hintayin muna natin."

In one of her Instagram posts, Jean could be seen taping a wedding scene with Victor Neri.
