Janice de Belen returns to GMA-7 after five years to join AlDub teleserye

Janice de Belen returns as a Kapuso for GMA-7's upcoming teleserye Destined To Be Yours starring Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards.

It's confirmed.

Janice de Belen returns to GMA-7 for the upcoming teleserye Destined To Be Yours, which is topbilled by Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

It was first speculated that Janice will be part of the AlDub teleserye when she posted a picture with Maine last December 13.

It turned out that the photo was taken during the story conference of the TV series held last Tuesday.

Yesterday, December 18, Janice posted on her Instagram account an envelope indicating the name of her character in Destined To Be Yours.

She will be taking on the role of Sally Obispo.

Janice simply provided the caption: "2017!!! *smile emoji*"

In a previous PEP report, it was revealed that Janice plays the role of Maine's mother.

Originally working as a character actress in ABS-CBN, Janice became known for her roles in the classic teleseryes Familia Zaragoza (1995), Mula sa Puso (1997), and Saan Ka Man Naroroon (1999).

In 2001, Janice moved to GMA-7 and hosted the talk show SiS together with sister Gelli De Belen and Carmina Villaroel. The talk show ran for almost nine years from August 2001 until January 1, 2010.

During her stay with GMA, Janice was able to do various teleseryes such as Darna (2009), Endless Love (2010), Dwarfina (2011), and Magic Palayok (2011).

In 2011, Janice decided to return to ABS-CBN. She was able to do the following teleseryes: Budoy (2011), Ina Kapatid Anak (2012), Honesto (2013), and Oh My G! (2015).

Janice also hosted the showbiz-oriented talk shows Showbiz Inside Report (2012) and Buzz ng Bayan (2013).

Her last ABS-CBN series, Be My Lady, aired its final episode in November 2016.
