Coco Martin says he wanted Enteng Kabisote 10 to get into the Magic 8 of MMFF 2016, after the Coco-Vice Ganda movie, The Super Parental Guardians, did not. It would have given children at least one movie to enjoy, he said.

Coco Martin started his career by starring in indie films until he penetrated the mainstream entertainment industry.

However, this trend has been reversed in recent times. Today, mainstream actors have decided to be part of independently produced films.

Coco was asked to comment on this trend during his thanksgiving press conference at Victorino's restaurant yesterday, January 5.

He pointed out that he and his fellow celebrities were often tied to TV networks.

"Lahat nagtutulungan, kaya nga may Actor's Guild.

"Ang problema po sa mga artista, ang mga nagmamay-ari sa amin ay network," said the ABS-CBN actor.

"Kaya may iba't ibang agenda.

As an actor, Coco made this appeal:

The actor offered this personal suggestion: form an organization that would push for this kind of inclusivity.

ON MMFF 2016. Coco also admitted that he was in favor of the proposal to include four mainstream and four indie films in the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Coco was candid about admitting that he had hoped Vic Sotto's movie, Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers, had made it to MMFF 2016.

The Kapamilya actor, with Vice Ganda, was part of the entry, The Super Parental Guardians, which also did not make it to the Magic 8.

The actor admitted that he has a vow to make a movie for the MMFF every year.
