“I just want to repeat what Chot said. So, if Chot said that Maxine will have a good chance. I believe she will do good in the pageant,” sabi ni MVP.

“That is very close to my night job which is basketball,” panimulang biro ni Chot.

“I always say we never looked at what happened last year. So, we are graded, we are evaluated by what we do this year. So, that’s not gonna be the same for Maxine this year. It’s not gonna matter what Pia did last year. She’s [Maxine] gonna be evaluated on her own merits this year, regardless of what transpired last year.

“I’ve met Maxine, I’ve seen some of the other contestants. I think she has a chance, not only a chance but a really good chance. Who knows, back-to-back or not, hopefully we’re fortunate enough to get that victory,” ani Chot.

Kabilang din sa humarap sa mga press sina Shawn McClain (Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Miss Universe Organization), Wilson Tieng (President and CEO, Solar Entertainment Corporation), at Eric Alberto (Chief Revenue Officer, PLDT and Smart).

“No, not yet.”

Pero ano ang impression niya kay Maxine?

“She’s beautiful. At saka sabi nga ni Chot, tapos na yung panalo ni Pia and we’re all very proud of her, no doubt about that. But her reign will end by the end of January, so, let’s give Maxine a chance. Even the Miss Universe organizers are highly objective about Maxine.”

BIG PARTICIPATION IN MISS UNIVERSE.

“We’re pleased to be part of this international event for the country and of course, for our candidate. And it’s been more than 20 years since we had the last Miss Universe event here in the country.

“In fact, as early as 2016, we were thinking about it already. I think right after Pia won, whether the Philippines would host the next Miss Universe. When President Duterte won the election, I think his government supported this event. So, we’re pleased to be a part of it,” ani MVP.

Bukod sa full broadcast coverage ng coronation night ng Miss Universe sa January 30, eksklusibong mapapanood sa TV5 sa January 28 at January 29 ang preliminary shows, specifically ang swimsuit at long gown competitions. Magiging available din ang mga ito sa parehong araw sa online powered by PLDT and Smart.

Ayon pa kay MVP, “With the Miss Universe crown currently in our homeland, the enthusiasm for and connection of Filipinos to the global pageant is now stronger than ever. With the combined reach of PLDT, Smart and TV5, we are providing our countrymen more ways to enjoy the pageant.”
