Yassi Pressman was supposed to be one of the grand finalists of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7.
However, the Ang Probinsyano actress decided to give up her slot sho that fellow shortlisted housemate Elisse Joson could enter the grand finals.
Yassi talked to Elisse about her decision and said, “Sabi ni Kuya, ang lahat ng bagay pinaghihirapan muna. So, gusto ko na, napatunayan lang din natin na sobrang magkalapit lang din yung time ibig sabihin, pinaghirapan mo rin talaga at konting-konti lang. Hindi ko maipagpapatuloy ang journey at hindi ako ang magiging 4th Lucky Star.”
Elisse asked in confusion: “Ano? Why?”
Yassi simply answered, “Kasi, hindi pwede. So ikaw ang 4th Lucky Star.”
Elisse insisted, “Ikaw yung nandun.”
“Hindi, okay lang yan. Bagay sa 'yo, bagay pa sa yellow mong gown. Congrats,” Yassi replied with a hug.
Yassi did not exactly explain why she cannot continue her journey in PBB but the actress is still part of the primetime hit series Ang Probinsyano.
Yassi greeted Elisse by saying, “Gusto kita i-wish ng goodluck, masaya yung batch na ‘to ulit. Have fun and congrats, huwag mong isipin na hindi mo deserve.”
Elisse, who was still in shock over this development, expressed her gratitude by saying, “Thank you. Thank you, thank you.
“Kuya, hindi ko alam kung paano ko po i-a-accept ‘to. Siguro po, yung nasa isip ko ngayon na lang e, kung ano man po yung naibigay na sa akin papagbutihan ko na lang po, Kuya, yung hawak ko na.”
The two shortlisted housemates competed last January 10 and were tasked to arrange a tiara in the fastest time possible. They had to guide some of the other finalists, who were blindfolded, to the seven scroll-like items scattered around the room containing broken tiara pieces. Yassi finished in 13 minutes flat, 23 seconds faster than Elisse.
Elisse will be joining other celebrity finalists Jinri Park, Nonong Ballinan, and Hashtags members Nikko Natividad and McCoy de Leon, as well as those from the teen and adult editions.
EX-HOUSEMATES RETURN TO PBB. Last January 6, regular housemate Jerome Alacre was able to get the third and last Lucky House, allowing him to join housemates Tanner Mata and Aura Azarcon.
The Overseas Filipino Warrior of Tondo got three out of seven votes from the teen housemates.
The teen housemates based their votes on the way Jerome and other regular housemates Cora Waddell, Baninay Bautista, and Wil Dasovich answered very personal questions in an intense Q & A as well as their performance in the White Room.
Last Sunday, another twist was implemented in order to complete Kuya’s first-ever Dream Team.
Big Brother announced that six ex-housemates of Pinoy Big Brother will be given a chance to be part of Kuya’s "Dream Team."
From these six ex-housemates, three of them will be added to the current list of finalists taking one representative from the celebrities, teens and regular housemates.
All these ex-housemates will have a special task to determine which of them will finally join the Dream Team.
Yong Mujahil and Christian Morones from the Teen housemates, Baninay Bautista and Cora Waddell from the Regular housemates, and Yassi Pressman and Elisse Joson from the Celebrity housemates returned to Kuya’s house last Sunday.
The PBB Dream Team is so far composed of celebrity housemates Jinri Park, and Hashtags members McCoy de Leon and Nikko Natividad, and Nonong Ballinan who are considered as the Lucky Stars.
Teen housemates Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber and Kisses Delavin are considered as the Lucky Suns while regular housemates Tanner Mata, Aura Azarcon, and Jerome Alecre won the Lucky Houses.
