More than two decades ago, Dayanara Torres was one of the original hosts who launched ABS-CBN's noontime show ASAP (All-Star Sunday Afternoon Party).
Back then, the Miss Universe 1993 titleholder hosted the show with Ariel Rivera, Martin Nievera, and Pops Fernandez.
This 2017, the beauty queen from Puerto Rico returned for a special performance on the Kapamilya show.
ASAP. For the 22nd anniversary of ASAP, ABS-CBN stars celebrated the Chinese New Year and welcomed the Year of the Fire Rooster.
One of the most-anticipated events of ASAP 22 was the TV comeback of Dayanara Torres on ASAP where she was reunited with Martin Nievera.
A tearful Dayanara told Filipinos, "Masaya ako dito kasi this is my second home, in ‘ASAP.’ I owe you guys so much. Everything started with me here. I learned everything here. I will forever be thankful. I will forever love you.”
Dayanara also had a chance to reunite with her Hataw Na (1995) co-stars Roselle Nava, Lindsay Custodio, and Jolina Magdangal.
The cast members of Doble Kara—Maxene Magalona, Edgar Allan Guzman, Sam Milby, and Julia Montes—also offered a steamy dance number on this day.
Paulo Avelino and Maja Salvador appeared on the show for their upcoming movie I’m Drunk, I Love You.
SUNDAY PINASAYA. On GMA-7's Sunday Pinasaya, viewers had the chance to watch Lani Misalucha perform her new song “Unbreakable” on February 5.
This is the first song that Asia’s Nightingale has released internationally by Superpop under Sony Extreme Music Publishing U.S.A.
She will be having a show called Masquerade Valentine's Show on February 12, 2017 in Cebu Waterfront and on February 14 and 15, 2017 at Solaire Resort and Casino. GMA Network’s Sunday Pinasaya had a higher TV rating of 13.1%, based on AGB Nielsen National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) data.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s musical variety show ASAP registered a rating of 11.2%.
How does this compare to previous episodes of the two noontime shows?
Based again on AGB Nielsen NUTAM data, ASAP experienced an increase of 1.6 points compared to its previous episode.
Meanwhile, Sunday Pinasaya registered a 0.2 increase compared to its previous episode.
