Regine Velasquez admits being hesitant to do a musical show on TV. "Mahirap din for me kasi kapag nagko-concert ako, medyo lumalaban siya ng kaunti."

If Regine Velasquez were to choose, she wouldn't want to do another musical show.

It's been almost four years since she did the defunct Sunday musical variety show Party Pilipinas.

Asia's Songbird recalled it was kind of difficult since she was also holding concerts at that time.

I love doing musical shows,” she said.

But mahirap din for me kasi kapag nagko-concert ako, medyo lumalaban siya ng kaunti. Papanoorin na lang sa TV [ng fans] instead of paying to see you to do the concert.”

She's thankful that her new show,
Full House Tonight, is different from her previous musical programs.

At least ito, mayroon silang ibang nakikita bukod sa kakanta ako, makikita nila akong nagpapatawa.

“I'm with a group of crazy people who will make you laugh every Saturday that's really entertaining,” the singer-TV host said during the press conference of
Full House Tonight held recently.

This comedy-musical show will have a mix of stage musical performances and riotous stand-up comedy, parodies, and sketches to cap off the viewers Saturday night.

It may sound like a show that's similar to
Sunday Pinasaya.

But Regine was quick to clarify, “It's really not... Siguro parang kapareho pero kapag pinanood mo, it's not the same, it's different pa rin.

Medyo mas iba pa rin siya nang kaunti. Siguro sa concept lang pero sa execution medyo mas iba.

First of all, live talaga sila [Sunday Pinasaya].

Actually, baka mas mahirap ang show nila, kami lang napupuyat. Sa execution, medyo mas iba ng kaunti.”

Joining Regine on the show are Solenn Heussaff, Joross Gamboa, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Kim Idol, Terry Gian, Nar Cabico, Sarah Brakensiek, and Tammy Brown.

Full House Tonight will air every Saturday night after Magpakailanman starting February 18.

BUSY SCHEDULE. With the addition of Full House Tonight to her showbiz schedule, Regine is sure to become one of the busiest celebrities on GMA.

Aside from this show, Regine has the weekly cooking show
Sarap Diva and soon she will be part of the telefantasya Mulawin vs. Ravena.

Mas okay na raw na busy ako kaysa yung sinusuwelduhan nila ako 'tapos nakaganito lang ako," she said while demonstrating the look of a bum.

Napag-isip-isip na ng GMA. Babawiin daw nila.

Ito na raw yun, this is the time,” Regine said in jest.

She also noted about
Full House Tonight, “Ang alam ko, we are supposed to do one season.

Pero depende kung magiging okay siya. Kaya panoorin ninyo para dumami ang show namin, depende yun.”

In a separate interview after the press conference, Regine told reporters, “I've always been active after I rested.

Kaya lang, ang GMA was very kind to me.

After ko naman magpahinga, noong bumalik na ako sa trabaho, open naman na ako to anything.

Kaya lang, parang hindi nila ako masyadong ini-stress, which is good dahil nagkaroon ako ng time for Nate.Tinatanong nila ako, sabi ko, okay naman ako. Kaya heto na ako ulit.”

Regine is not worried about having a complicated schedule when she stars taping for
Mulawin vs. Ravena.

She stressed, “Ang maganda naman doon [sa telefantasya], hindi ako yung nasa title role. Hindi naman ako si

“Madami naman 'yong cast, so hindi naka-focus sa akin ang story.”
