In a few weeks' time, Maxine Medina will officially relinquish her title as Miss Universe Philippines 2016. She will pass on the crown to another Pinay beauty at the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 grand coronation night happening this April.
The 26-year-old beauty queen is fulfilling her duties on her last few days as Miss Universe Philippines 2016.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press spotted the beauty queen at the Converse Spring-Summer 2017 Face-Off #OOTD last March 2 at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City.
At the event, Maxine was asked her if she plans to join showbiz.
"Well, let’s see kung anong magandang offer and then let’s explore. I’m willing to try anything. I’m open naman."
When asked which celebrity she would like to work with, Maxine didn't give a definite answer.
She said, "Lahat ng mga beteranong artista sana maka-work ko soon. And ma-explore ko yung pagiging magaling nilang artista at mahawaan nila ako."
Maxine's boyfriend, Marx Topacio, has already ventured into acting via the Encantadia remake.
The 24-year-old model-turned-actor is currently playing Azulan, a member of Sapiro's Punjabwe tribe. The role was previously portrayed by R&B singer Jay-R.
PEP took the chance to ask the beauty queen for her comment regarding her boyfriend's acting. She quipped, "Naku napakaling mo Marx Topacio, idol na kita!"
