The celebrity contestants revealed that they have had arguments while doing challenges in I Can Do That. The ABS-CBN stars who make it to the list include (L-R) Cristine Reyes, Gab Valenciano, Arci Munoz, Pokwang, Daniel Matsunaga, Wacky Kiray, Sue Ramirez, and JC Santos.

Celebrities who are part of an upcoming ABS-CBN reality show admit that there had been arguments among them, their mentors, and the production people while doing the challenges.

I Can Do That, ABS-CBN’s upcoming weekend reality show has eight celebrities who are tasked to do difficult challenges every week.

The contestants are Cristine Reyes, Gab Valenciano, Arci Munoz, Wacky Kiray, Sue Ramirez, Daniel Matsunaga, JC Santos, and Pokwang.

The program, which will premiere this Saturday, March 11
will be hosted by Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga.

During the press conference last March 2, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked the candidates if there were heated discussions or arguments among them or with other people part of the program in doing the challenges.

“Yes,” confirmed Gab. “Para sa akin, first act ko yung choreographer at yung mga production and mentors mismo, parang medyo nagkainitan. Involved ako do’n.

“Sabi ng choreographer at production [sa mentor], ‘Hindi na nila kaya, ba’t mo pinipilit?! Parang gano’n, which is natural.

“Pero as a mentor gusto mong makitang gawin ng I Candidates.”

I Candidates is the phrase used to refer to the celebrity contestants.

Gab explained that many of the challenges are not easy to do, so it requires a lot from the I Candidates.

For her part, Arci stated, “Wala naman po. Nakaka-frustrate lang na hindi mo magawa.”

Pokwang said she is fortunate that her fellow candidates who became her partners in every challenge didn’t give her a hard time.

“Ako mismo naiyak, nairita ako sa sarili ko. Wala na akong time mag-memorize, ang dami ko pang ginagawa. ‘Pwede ba nating i-adjust na very, very light?’ Pero mahigpit yung coach gusto talaga niyang gawin ko talaga.

“Kumbaga naiiyak ako nahihiya ako sa sarili ko, nahihiya ako sa mentor pero nagawan naman ng paraan.”

Daniel had the same experience.

For someone as competitive as him, the Brazilian-Japanese model said that he sometimes gets frustrated when he could not properly execute the challenges.

“Minsan lang na-frustrate lang sa sarili ko. Gusto kong gawin ang pinaka-best ko, me with my partners.

“Minsan frustrated din yung mga mentors namin dahil minsan nag-aaway sila because they’ve been trying to push us something.

JC chose to look at this situation in a positive light.

“I think it’s part of the process, the whole thing.

“It’s what makes it interesting.

“Yung magkakaroon ng iritahan, sakitan ng katawan, at puso, pero ako excited ako sa mga bagay na ganon, mas lalo mong mapapalalim ang pagmamamahal sa ginagawa nila.”
