Before their teleserye reunion, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson were paired last Saturday (March 18) in Maalaala Mo Kaya.
The ex-couple portrayed lovers who are separated by fate, only to be reunited in each other’s arms at the wrong time.
Bernard (Gerald) already knew that it was love the moment he laid his eyes on Cze (Kim). When they were young, Bernard secretly sent handmade love letters to Cze to express his admiration for her.
The two eventually get acquainted with each other until Cze finds out that Bernard is her secret admirer. Bernard continues to pursue her, nonetheless, until they finally become a couple.
Their relationship goes smoothly, until Bernard’s father petitions him to go live with him in the U.S. At first, they try to continue their relationship, but their communication gets lost along the way.
In the long run, Cze gives up hopes of saving their relationship.
Time passes by, and Cze meets Rico (Edgar Allan De Guzman) and gets pregnant with his child. Their parents then decide to get them married, but weeks before their wedding, Bernard returns to Cze’s life.
Cze gets doubts about marrying Rico but she pushes through with it.
Years later, Cze felt that Rico was cheating on her while he was working in the Middle East. Their confrontation caused Rico to flare up and almost his wife. The couple got annulled and Cze got custody of their daughter.
Nine years later, Cze reconnects with Bernard through Facebook. They meet up and Bernard said he was still in love with her.
