Fresh from her stint in GMA-7's epic telefantasya Encantadia, Eula Valdes returns to ABS-CBN to join the teleserye Kung Kailangan Mo Ako.
Kapamilya drama unit Dreamscape Entertainment announced this earlier tonight, March 22.
This is also the teleserye that will topbill ABS-CBN's three popular love teams: Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador (ElNella), Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad (NLex), and McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson (McLisse).
Aside from Eula, Mylene Dizon and John Estrada are also part of the upcoming Kapamilya show.
Kung Kailangan Mo Ako also serves as the follow-up teleserye of Joshua Garcia, who is currently in the afternoon drama series The Greatest Love.
It seems that Joshua's budding team-up with Julia Barretto, dubbed as JoshLia, will have to rest for a while since the actress was not announced as part of the cast.
Julia is still a part of the primetime series A Love To Last where she is paired with Ronnie Alonte.
In fact, no love team partner was announced for Joshua.
It looks like Joshua will figure in a love triangle with Elmo and Janella based on this post by Dreamscape AdProm Manager Eric John Salut.
It may be recalled that Joshua was also supposed to play the third wheel to Elmo and Janella in the defunct series Born For You. However, Joshua was pulled out to do The Greatest Love.
Kung Kailangan Mo Ako was also the title of the 1993 movie starring Sharon Cuneta and Rudy Fernandez but it is unclear if it has any connection to this project.
More details about the TV show Kung Kailangan Mo Ako will be announced in the coming weeks.
Currently, Eula can be seen in the GMA-7 telefantasya Encantadia as Etheria Queen Avria.
In recent episodes of Encantadia, Avria used her powers to exchange bodies with Danaya, played by Sanya Lopez.
In fact, Eula's latest Instagram post yesterday, March 21, showed that she is still wearing her Avria costume. She even captioned the post, "Hello from Etheria."
A new teaser was released saying that a major war will happen again in the kingdom.
This teleserye serves as Eula's comeback in ABS-CBN after almost three years.
Her last show was the remake of Dyesebel where she played the villain Dyangga in 2014.
It may be recalled that one of Eula's most iconic roles on TV was in an ABS-CBN, where she played Amor Powers in the original version of Pangako Sa 'Yo in 2000. Prior to that, her first teleserye was also in the Kapamilya network, which was Marinella in 1999.
In 2007, Eula first appeared on the GMA-7 TV show Kamandag, which was topbilled by Richard Gutierrez.
In 2011, Eula returned again to ABS-CBN for the shows Mula sa Puso (2011), Mundo Man Ay Magunaw (2012), and Walang Hanggan (2012).
In 2013, the 48-year-old actress tried to do a TV show in TV5, the short-lived fantasy series Cassandra: Warrior Angel.
She also did the 8-week series Kahit Nasaan Ka Man in the Kapuso Network.
After her ABS-CBN stint in 2014 for Dyesebel, Eula immediately returned to GMA to be part of the show Ilustrado starring Alden Richards and would do more shows for the network.
Just recently, the ElNella and McLisse love teams were seen having workshops to prepared for their Kapamilya teleserye.
Kung Kailangan Mo Ako is set to be directed by Manny Palo and Rahyan Carlos.
No details, including its airing date, has been revealed yet during the media announcement of this upcoming TV show.
