Marian Rivera has started taping for her new fantasy series Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko. It will air its pilot episode on April 29, a Saturday.

Marian Rivera will officially be back on television this April 2017.

Cameras have already started rolling for her upcoming GMA-7 fantasy series Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko.

This is according to a post of director Rico Gutierrez on his Instagram account.

In one of his posts, it can be seen that Marian has a disheveled look – complete with dirty clothes and grease stains on her face.

Direk Rico captioned the post with the hashtags #daigkayonglolako #gma7 #fairies #faeries #fairytale #episode1.

In an earlier post, the director showed that this series will have a touch of animation as Marian transforms into an animated child while walking through the rain.

Expressing her excitement, Marian commented three emoji hearts and the expression "aww" on the director's post.

Through his posts, it was also revealed that veteran actress Gloria Romero will be part of the new Kapuso series.

Direk Rico also revealed in the comments section that it is Jillian Ward who is wearing this pink gown in harness.

Most Kapuso viewers are expecting to see Marian's comeback teleserye on GMA Telebabad but it seems that this show will be aired weekly.

Actress Ana Feleo, who co-starred with Marian in the defunct series Amaya, asked when Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko will start airing.

Direk Rico answered in the comments section, "hi! April 29 na," which falls on a Saturday.

Of course, it is also possible that if this series will aired on a daily basis, the April 29 pilot episode could be a special screening since GMA-7 had already done this in the past.

In 1999, before GMA aired its first official teleserye Di Ba't Ikaw (starring Jessa Zaragoza) on daily primetime, a premiere special--which is four episodes long--aired on a Sunday.

It may be recalled that Marian first teased her teleserye comeback when she had a meeting with GMA executives last February 6.

She said, "Thank you to my GMA Family who always comes up with so many wonderful offers/projects for me.

"This year it's time to get back to work, and return to primetime... ayieee malapit na!"

When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke with GMA Corporate Communications through a phone call earlier on March 31, they clarified that Marian will only be a guest in Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko.

It was also pointed out that the April 29 airing date of the show is not yet final.

Meanwhile, 24 Oras announced on Friday night that Marian is set to return to GMA-7's telefantasya Encantadia together with husband Dingdong Dantes. They will reprise their roles as Ynang Reyna Mine-a and Raquim.
