Beauty Gonzalez never thought she would be given her biggest break after her unexpected pregnancy in 2015.
For her teleserye comeback, the 25-year-old actress is the lead chatacter in ABS-CBN's new afternoon series Pusong Ligaw.
At the media launch of the show last April 19, Beauty said there are a lot of things to expect in this drama series.
“Naku, marami, unang-una, this is my first drama show,” she smiled.
“Napakalayo nito sa mga ginagawa ko dati na patawa, pa-tweetums, best friend role.
“Ngayon, ito ang first drama ko na isa rin ako sa magle-lead ng show.”
She added, “My gosh, ang dami kong napagdaanan dito.
“I hope na makita n'yo rin na kaya ko rin palang mag-drama. Pero nagawa ko yun with the help of the best directors on the set.
“Siyempre, hindi namin magagawa yung mga bagay-bagay kung hindi kami inaalalayan ng mga tao like, mga director and staff namin na naniniwala sa amin.”
Prior to this, Beauty was part of other teleseryes such as Dream Dad, Ningning, and Walang Iwanan.
Pusong Ligaw will start airing this Monday, April 22, in ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Gold.
Since Pusong Ligaw will replace the recently-concluded The Greatest Love in the afternoon timeslot, the show is also expected to do well especially in terms of TV ratings.
Beauty admitted the Sylvia Sanchez-starrer series did very well during its run.
In fact, she said, “Congratulations sa The Greatest Love, isang magandang story talaga. Every time na nanonood ako doon, naiiyak ako.”
The young actress confidently said that Pusong Ligaw will also be as competitive.
The Kapamilya actress said, “Naniniwala ako sa show namin, kasi lahat ng mga director namin sa show naniniwala sa amin.
“At naniniwala ako sa story na maganda, at naniniwala ako na papatok kami.
“Idadaan ko sa prayers yun.”
Joining Beauty in Pusong Ligaw are love team partners Diego Loyzaga, Sofia Andres, new Kapamilya stars Bianca King and Enzo Pineda, returning ABS-CBN actor Raymond Bagatsing, and Joem Bascon.
This will be directed by GB Sampedro, Elfren Vibar, and Henry King Quitain.
