Is Richard Gutierrez join Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's upcoming teleserye La Luna Sangre?
According to Jojo Gabinete's Abante column published on May 12, there have been talks for Richard to have a special participation in the ABS-CBN fantasy series.
The columnist wrote, "Narinig namin ang balita na may special participation si Richard Gutierrez sa bagong programa ng ABS-CBN na mapapanood sa June 2017."
It was already announced beforehand that Richard's former love team partner Angel Locsin will have a special appearance in the series.
Angel topbilled La Luna Sangre's first two installments: Lobo (2008) and Imortal (2010-2011).
Aside from Angel, ABS-CBN actor John Lloyd Cruz will also appear in the pilot week of the series.
John Lloyd is Angel's partner in Imortal wherein he played a vampire.
RICHARD IN ABS-CBN? If the report is confirmed to be true, La Luna Sangre will be Richard's first appearance on a Kapamilya teleserye.
The actor started his career in GMA-7 where he became a part of the Click (2001-2004).
This youth-oriented show was where he first worked with Angel. However, at that time, they played the twins Enzo and Charley.
After appearing in the teleseryes Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin (2001-2002) and Habang Kapiling Ka (2002-2003), Richard was launched as a lead actor in the fantasy series Mulawin (2004).
His launch was then followed by a string of solo telefantasyas including: Sugo (2005), Captain Barbell (2006, 2011), Lupin (2007), Kamandag (2007) and Codename: Asero (2008).
He was also able to do the teleseryes Full House (2009), Makapiling Kang Muli (2012), and Love and Lies (2013).
When his contract with GMA expired, he was able to do guestings in Kapamilya shows such as Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal and It's Showtime.
In 2016, Richard also did the short-lived fantasy series Ang Panday aired on TV5.
Last May 9, it was announced that Richard will reunite with Angel for a movie produced by Star Cinema, which also stars Angelica Panganiban.
AIRING SOON. The KathNiel drama series is finally set to air on television as its first official teaser was released earlier today, May 18.
The teaser, which was uploaded in Star Creatives Television's official Facebook page, showed a shortened version of the teaser aired during the March 2017 Kapamilya trade launch.
La Luna Sangre was first announced during the November 2016 trade launch of new Kapamilya shows.

La Luna Sangre might replace the ongoing child-friendly series My Dear Heart starring Coney Reyes, Bela Padilla, Ria Atayde, and Zanjoe Marudo.
It is because My Dear Heart, which airs on the second slot of ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida, has already announced that it will air its finale episode soon.
If La Luna Sangre will fill in the vacated slot of My Dear Heart, it might go head-to-head against GMA-7's upcoming local adaptation of the Korean drama My Love From The Star starring Jennylyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva.
MLFTS is rumored to replace the Alden Richards-Maine Mendoza teleserye Destined To Be Yours, which also airs on the second primetime slot.
It has just been announced today that My Love From The Star will air its pilot episode on May 29.
La Luna Sangre is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who also served as the second unit director of Angel Locsin's Lobo.
