Marian Rivera reveals she initially had reservations about becoming the host of the GMA-7 weekly OFW-themed drama anthology Tadhana. Find out why the Kapuso Primetime Queen accepted it.

Marian Rivera admitted that she initially questioned why she was chosen to host the GMA-7 weekly OFW-themed drama anthology Tadhana given the fact that she is not known as a TV host.

The said program, which premieres this Saturday, May 20, is produced by GMA News and Public Affairs.

“Bakit ako bilang hindi naman talaga ako sanay mag-host, lalo na kung ganito ang tema,” said Marian at the press conference of the said show, Friday, May 19.

She was given the answer that she was looking for.

She disclosed what management told her, “Parang ano lang yan, e, Yan Ang Morning, hindi ako sanay sa ganong tema, pero sinubukan ko.”

Yan Ang Morning was the now-defunct morning talk show that Marian hosted in 2016.

Another reason that gave Marian the confidence to accept the said project was the fact that its theme is close to her heart since her mom is a former OFW in Spain and then in London.

This show also increased Marian’s respect for OFWs for choosing to part with their loved ones to work abroad and to give them a better life.
