Gabbi Garcia, one of the lead stars of the recently concluded Encantadia on GMA-7, shared some of her future plans when she was spotted at the 20th anniversary party of Cosmopolitan Philippines.
She is younger than the 20-year-old magazine, and for her Gabbi at 18, "means a sophisticated, classy and ready for more Gabbi."
In the past, she has already appeared on the cover of Preview. When asked if she will one day consider doing a Cosmopolitan cover, she quickly answered, "I hope, I hope, I get to work them soon!"
Is she likewise open to posing for men's magazines, with her fit and sexy figure?
She responds, "Siguro not yet at 18 but I am hungry now for more experience. I am ready to grow."
At the moment, Gabbi wants to focus on her television and acting projects.
She explains that she is not particular about her upcoming roles, what is important to her is, "As long as I know that I can do it and deliver it well, I am open for it."
The Kapuso teen also trusts her management and network, "I am very confident that GMA will take care of me after Encantadia.
"My career is really going good so I am gonna decide pa, I am still young, I am only 18, we will see pa."
That's why, she's also saying no to boyfriends, for now.
"Career muna, ang daming nangyayari sa career ko, focus muna!"
So what happens to her love team partner Ruru Madrid? The two are exceptionally close, with Ruru even being one of Gabbi's dances during her debut.
"Si Ruru, working! We are both busy.
"We are close pa din, but we are just so busy."
She explains that they have chosen work first, "We are so driven right now and I am very driven right now to focus on my career because a lot is happening."
She doesn't mind that Ruru was paired with another Kapuso talent Arra San Agustin during their Encantadia run.
"Yes, I am okay with it and it's our time to grow as individuals as well."
For the die-hard fans of their loveteam, she has this to say, "We are not closing our GabRu doors."
"But it's also time for us to grow individually."
