Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz's characters in Imortal (2010-2011) will return to television via its sequel titled La Luna Sangre.
La Luna Sangre, the fantasy-drama series of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, is the third installment of the Lobo franchise.
Lobo, which topbilled Angel and Piolo Pascual, was aired in 2008.
In a new teaser uploaded on Star Creatives's Facebook account today, May 26, Angel and John Lloyd's respective characters Lia and Mateo will jumpstart the story of the sequel.
The teaser showed the life of Lia and Mateo six years after Imortal ended.
Lia and Mateo now resides in a small house in a barrio with a simpler life.
This is in contrast with the lavish lives that the two led in Imortal.
It was also seen that Lia and Mateo's daughter is now all-grown up as a kid.
The child is believed to be the character that will be played by Kathryn Bernardo once she grows up.
The three characters delivered the popular line heard in both Lobo and Imortal: "Hindi sa tala sa langit, kundi sa buwang nakasilip. Ibigay ang hiling ng matang nakapikit."
Lia and Mateo also participated in the fiesta in their barrio.
Imortal cast member Dino Imperial was also seen in the teaser transforming into a vampire.
The last frame showed the troubled Lia and Mateo as quick flashes of vampires and a wolf were also seen.
The confirmation that Angel and John Lloyd will have a special appearance in La Luna Sangre happened during the announcement that Angel will no longer do the Darna movie.
Angel admitted that she is excited to work with KathNiel for this TV series.
Aside from Angel and John Lloyd, former GMA-7 actor Richard Gutierrez is also rumored to have a special appearance in La Luna Sangre.
