Before they portray mother and daughter in the upcoming series La Luna Sangre, there was already a connection between Angel Locsin and Kathryn Bernardo in the past.
Remember when Kathryn had a "taong-grasa" scene in her recent movie Can't Help Falling In Love (CHFIL)?
Can't Help Falling In Love director Mae Cruz-Alviar revealed that a previous role of Angel was used as a peg for the scene!
This was when Angel portrayed a "taong-grasa" in the controversial "Blusa" episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya aired in 2009.
Direk Mae first posted on Instagram a photo of Kathryn in her "taong-grasa" look in the movie.
She wrote in the caption, #SquadGoals One of my favorite scenes in the movie. @bernardokath did this with no qualms, all out 100%, super game."
Immediately after that post, Direk Mae immediately posted her peg for the scene and revealed that it was Angel!
She wrote with a laughing emoji, "My peg for Gab's look in her baliw scene in #canthelpfallinginlove"
Some fans commented on Direk Mae's post and pointed out that in ABS-CBN's upcoming series La Luna Sangre, Angel's name is Lia while Kathryn's character is named Malia.
La Luna Sangre, which will topbill Kathryn and Daniel Padilla, is a continuation of Angel's 2010 fantasy-drama series Imortal with John Lloyd Cruz.
A teaser released last Friday, May 26, showed what happened to the lives of Angel and John Lloyd's characters six years after the show ended in 2011.
In the new series, Kathryn will portray the daughter of Angel's Lia and John Lloyd's Mateo.
The KathNiel love team will continue the story of wolves, vampires, humans, and their never-ending war.
No announcement has been made yet regarding La Luna Sangre's airing date, but viewers are speculating that it will replace My Dear Heart, which is down to its last three weeks.
