This was followed by a solo upbeat performance. The last round is a power ballad, which aired earlier tonight, July 30.
The hosts stressed that only public voting via text or online shall be counted. The finalist who garners the highest turnout of votes is automatically declared the winner.
Opening the first round is a high energy, rockin' performance of the song "Kapayaan" from Team Kawayan: Isabela Vinzon and Coach Bamboo. The voices of rock icon Bamboo and female rocker Isabela merged like yin and yang.
Kita mo yung contrast."
"Wow! That was a great way to start this grand finals! Lala you are one of my favorites! Ang galing mo lang. You stayed true to yourself" was Coach Lea's comment.
Coach Sarah said "Grabe lang, iba talaga ang experience pag nagpe-perform si coach bamboo. Iba din ang ibinigay mong experience Lala. Very contrast kayo. Maraming-maraming salamat for singing that beautiful song!"
Next in line is Team Sharon and Jeremy Glinoga who gave a fresh spin to the song “I’ll Never Love This Way Again.” On their performance, Coach Lea pointed out, "That was lovely. That was pleasant. I just don’t know if that if it was smack on the face for grand finals though. For it was lovely, but I wanted more!”
Sarah found the duet "sincere." "Napakasincere ng performance in Coach Sharon and Jeremy. Jeremy, a very talented young man, surely you will go a long, long way!"
For Bamboo, he didn't want to be critical. "Di ko kayang masyadong maging critical coz I know we’ve worked so hard on all of this. Good luck on the journey, man! Go for the gold!"
After Kamp Kawayan’s act, the angelic blending of Team Familea of Lea Salonga and Mica Bercerro for "The Prayer" won the hearts and minds of the audience and fellow coaches. "Wow what a performance from coach Lea and Mica!" exclaimed host Toni Gonzaga.
Coach Sarah was moved by the performance. "Grabe! Gusto kong maiyak after ng performance ninyo at sobra akong maiinggit kasi perfect as always. Si Mica naman, wala akong maisip na ibang artist who will best represent Team Lea."
Bamboo was equally impressed. "What a performance! I just love Italian! That was just beautiful and you guys complimented each other did so much for it…."
When asked her opinion, the Megastar observed, "Ako kanina pa, gusto kong maki-trio! Inis na inis ako kahit nasa third voice ako. Back up back down you know. Coach Lea kasi complementing the voice of Mica. But Mica on your own, that was a beautiful classical performance!"
Completing the duet performance was Coach Sarah and Jona Soquite who gave a powerful interpretation of "Better Days."
Host Luis Manzano was moved by their performance. "Wow! Wow! Wow kayong dalawa!"
Coach Bamboo shared the same sentiments. "Wow as well. Great song choice. I enjoyed watching this! Coach Sarah I’ve never seen you sing a song like this that was nice and sweet. And Jona, your clean deliver pag kumakanta that is always your strength" said the rock icon.
"This is also one of my favorite songs. I should’ve sung it tonight. I wanted to join there kanina. I want to slap my face! Very good, Jona! Very good!" quipped the Megastar.
Coach Lea was also blown away. "Wow! I will use a word na ginagamit ni Luis. Petmalu! Malupet! Ang galing! Jona, kitang-kita yung development as an artist dito sa The Voice and you came to play! You came to play and that was awesome!"
