ABS-CBN introduced several teen stars in the '90s who have become successful celebrities in showbiz today.
The Kapamilya-produced shows Gimik, Ang TV, and Tabing Ilog are responsible for showcasing and honing the talents of these actors and actreses.
Most of the stars included in these shows reached phenomenal success as they went on headline box-office hits and top-rating teleseryes.
Eventually, these celebrities became bankable stars in showbiz. Some remained with the Kapamilya network, while others transferred to GMA-7, or became freelance actors.
On the other hand, some of them migrated to other countries or explored other opportunities outside show business.

After being a child star, JUDY ANN SANTOS was launched as a teen actress when she led the cast of the 1996 youth-oriented series Gimik, where she was paired with the late Rico Yan.
A year later, in 1997, Judy Ann focused on being a dramatic actress and topbilled successful teleseryes such as Esperanza and Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka, among many others.
At 39, the so-called young superstar decided to temporarily stop doing teleseryes and focus on being a mother to her two children with husband Ryan Agoncillo.
Juday is still visible on television as she continues to host the game show Bet On Your Baby.

CLAUDINE BARRETTO started as a tween actress in Ang TV from 1992 to 1997. She got her big break as a teen actress in the 1997 breakthrough drama Mula sa Puso. In that teleserye, she saw a perennial onscreen partner in Rico Yan, who eventually became her real-life boyfriend.
Claudine also had a guesting stint in the youth-oriented show Gimik.
After being a teen actress, Claudine became known as the optimum star after starring in a string of teleseryes with ABS-CBN.
In 2009, she transferred to GMA-7, before returning to the Kapamilya network in 2015.
Claudine is currently inactive on television but her loyal fans follow her through Instagram.

KRISTINE HERMOSA first became known to the masses when she was introduced as a new character in Gimik. It was not long before she was given a big break in 2000 via Pangako Sa 'Yo where she was paired with Jericho Rosales.
Kristine then became known as one of the prettiest actresses in show business.
In 2011, Kristine married actor Oyo Sotto. They now have four kids.
When she got married, Kristine temporarily left show business. But in 2016, she made a TV comeback through the GMA-7 sitcom Hay, Bahay! with Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai Delas Alas.

JOHN LLOYD CRUZ started his career through the 1996 youth-oriented series Gimik. In 1999, he and his fellow batchmates were given their own teen drama program Tabing Ilog, which aired on Sundays.
In 2002, John Lloyd became a full-fledged actor when he starred in Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. He later on topbilled box-office hits with different leading ladies such as Sarah Geronimo, Toni Gonzaga, and his perennial love team Bea Alonzo.
Currently, John Lloyd is starring in his latest movie Finally Found Someone, where he is paired with Sarah. It was recently announced by Star Cinema that its box-office sales already hit the P100 million mark.

JODI STA. MARIA played a minor role in Gimik while starring in different episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya. She was then included in the cast of Tabing Ilog.
ABS-CBN honed Jodi as a dramatic actress by giving her challenging roles in teleseryes such as Pangako Sa 'Yo (2000), Darating Ang Umaga (2003), Walang Kapalit (2007), among others.
In 2012, after many years in showbiz, Jodi got her big break via the daytime drama series Be Careful With My Heart, where she was paired with Richard Yap. The series aired from 2012 to 2014.
Jodi is currently busy doing the upcoming series Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko. Aside from being reunited with Richard, Jodi will also have Robin Padilla as her new leading man for the show.

JOLINA MAGDANGAL, just like many actresses today, was part of Ang TV. When she graduated as a teen actress, she was included in the cast of Gimik.
Jolina then formed a love team with Marvin Agustin and was able to headline many movies.
In 2002, she decided to do a career move and transfer to GMA-7. She stayed there for almost 12 years.
In late 2013, Jolina returned to ABS-CBN. She currently hosts the morning show Magandang Buhay.

Marvin Agustin was also part of ABS-CBN's Gimik and was paired with Jolina Magdangal.
Marvin was able to establish himself as a character actor when his tandem with Jolina broke up. He eventually transferred to GMA-7 and returned to ABS-CBN.
At present, Marvin continues to do teleseryes for ABS-CBN. Aside from that, he also keeps himself busy with his restaurants.

Dimples Romana became known to the masses when she portrayed a kontrabida in the 1999 youth-oriented series Tabing Ilog.
Dimples often got supporting roles in movies and teleseryes, patricularly as the best friend or as the mother of lead stars.
In 2016, Dimples got a breakthrough role in the afternoon series The Greatest Love as Amanda. The series enjoyed high ratings throughout its run.
Currently, the 32-year-old TV personality hosts the daytime show Kabuhayang Swak na Swak. If she's not busy at work, she spends time with her husband and two kids.

Just like the other stars in this list, MYLENE DIZON was part of the original cast of Gimik. Back then, she was paired with Bojo Molina.
Mylene then concentrated on becoming a kontrabida in teleseryes. Her most remarkable role was the character of Sally in the 2001 teleserye Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan.
Now with two kids, the 40-year-old actress will be seen in the ABS-CBN teleserye Kung Kailangan Mo Ako.

CHESKA GARCIA started her career in the youth-oriented gag show Ang TV. She was later on included in Gimik.
Cheska then became a resident kontrabida in various teleseryes in GMA-7 like Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga (2001) and Agawin Mo Man Ang Lahat (2006).
In 2008, Cheska left acting when she married basketball player Doug Kramer. They now have three children.
Even though she is not active anymore on television, Cheska remains in the public eye through social media.

DIETHER OCAMPO started his showbiz career in Gimik in 1996, where he was paired with G. Toengi.
In teleseryes, Diether would be one of Claudine Barretto's resident leading men.
After years of doing TV projects, the actor suddenly took a hiatus from showbiz in 2013.
Diether then returned to acting via the short-lived TV5 series Bakit Manipis Ang Ulap.
His last TV appearance was in the GMA-7 drama anthology Magpakailanman, his first appearance in the Kapuso network.

MARK ANTHONY FERNANDEZ was part of the popular group Gwapings, which started in ABS-CBN's sitcom Palibhasa Lalake (1991). He was also part of the teen movie Mangarap Ka (1995).
Mark Anthony then focused on doing leading man roles in GMA-7 teleseryes like Impostora (2007), All About Eve (2009), among others.
The actor is currently not visible on television after he was arrested in 2016 due to marijuana possession.

KAYE ABAD, just like other Star Magic talents, started in the gag show Ang TV. She was also included in the cast of Gimik.
In 1999, she and her onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz topbilled the youth-oriented series Tabing Ilog.
Kaye later on focused on doing different roles on teleseryes such as Alyna (2010), Angelito: Batang Ama (2010), and Two Wives (2014).
In 2015, the actress married her long-time boyfriend Paul Jake Castillo. She just recently announced that she is pregnant with her first baby.

BOJO MOLINA started his career by being part of the youth-oriented series Gimik. He was paired back then with Mylene Dizon.
In 2000, Bojo transferred to VIVA Artists Agency and was included in VIVA-produced shows H2K: Hati-Hating Kapatid and May Bukas Pa.
His last teleserye apperance before leaving showbiz was for the 2001 drama series Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin. He has since migrated abroad.
In 2010, Bojo returned to the Philippines to shoot Gimik 2010 where he appeared for five episodes along with original cast members Judy Ann Santos, Mylene Dizon, G. Toengi, and Diether Ocampo.
Currently, the former actor is living in Guam with his wife and two kids.

DOMINIC OCHOA had a guest appearance in GMA-7's TGIS. Afterwards, he was included as a regular cast member in Gimik.
Dominic then played many roles in TV shows as a comedian, a kontrabida, and eventually, he was given father roles.
In 2016, Dominic got a big break when he was given the title role in the short-lived fantasy series My Super D.

NIKKI VALDEZ started her career in the sitcom Home Along Da Riles. She was eventually included in the latter years of Gimik.
It was also Nikki who popularized the song "Meron Ba" during her teenage years.
She was then given several supporting roles in teleseryes.
Nikki recently finished her stint in the primetime series La Luna Sangre.

G. TOENGI became a part of several sitcoms before she was launched as a teen actress in Gimik in 1996. That same year, she also topbilled the remarkable Maalaala Mo Kaya episode titled "Billiards," which became the inspiration for Claudine Barretto's 1998 movie Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita.
G was launched as a dramatic actress via the 1998 miniseries Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako where she was paired with Piolo Pascual.
However, in the early 2000s, she left showbiz to try her luck in Hollywood.
In 2012, G returned to showbiz to do several drama shows such as the TV5 miniseries Nandito Ako and ABS-CBN fantasy seires Aryana.
Currently, G is in the United States. She produces her own show titled Kababayan Today, where she features former Filipino actors who have already moved to the States.

JAN MARINI started her career as a teen actress in the youth-oriented gag show Ang TV. She was given supporting roles in teleseryes such as Mula sa Puso.
In the year 2000, she temporarily left showbiz to marry her husband Gerard Pizzaras.
She then played supporting roles in teleseryes produced by GMA-7.
Jan's last teleserye appearance was in the 2015 Kapamilya series Pangako Sa 'Yo. She also teased on her Instagram account that she is currently taping a new TV project to be aired soon.

JAO MAPA was added as a member of the all-male group Gwapings. He was also part of Ang TV.
He later on emerged as a teen actor in GMA-7 when he was given acting projects in the teleserye Di Ba't Ikaw in 1999.
Jao took a hiatus from showbiz when he married his wife Cecille.
However, the former Palibhasa Lalake actor would occasionally make appearances in teleseryes of both networks.
Jao returned to showbiz full-time when he was included in the cast of the Kapamilya series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano in 2015 and in the GMA miniseries Naku! Boss Ko in 2016.
He recently had a guesting in Eat Bulaga!

ERIC FRUCTUOSO started his career as part of the Gwapings trio featured in Palibhasa Lalake. Eric was then honed to become a dramatic actor.
He took on kontrabida roles in ABS-CBN teleseryes such as Lobo (2008), Kristine (2010), Nasaan Ka Elisa (2011), among others.
Eric's last teleserye appearance was in 2016 when he guested in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. He also had a recent guesting in Eat Bulaga!
