The first-ever The Voice Teens champion Jona Soquite revealed that she considered Isabela Vinzon from Team Bamboo her toughest competitor during the grand finals night held last July 30.
The aspiring singer revealed this to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview the day after the grand finals, July 31, Monday.
Initially, Jona replied that all three fellow grand finalists: Jeremy Glinoga from Team Sharon, Mica Becerro from Team Lea, and Isabela, were all tough competitors.
Jona went on to explain her competitors’ advantages.
“Yung tatlo po na kinatatakutan ko; si Mica talagang iba po talaga ang genre, so parang mahigpit po talaga,” Jona described of Mica who is a classical singer.
“And then si Jeremy, malakas po siya sa masa.
“And si Isabela, package deal lahat po nasa kanya.”
When pressed as to who she considered the biggest threat, Jona spilled, “Si Lala po talaga kasi aside sa may talent po siya, physically, maganda talaga po siya.”
And Jona has a good reason for this as proved by that night’s total votes, which determined that night’s grand champion.
Isabela secured the second spot with 22.42%, although it was below Jona’s 44.78% votes.
In third place was Mica with 17.79% and Jeremy on the fourth spot with 15.01%.
