As part of his preparation for Alyas Robin Hood Book Two, Ruru Madrid is dedicating much of his time to training and workout.
This, according to him, is his way of conditioning himself so that he can do his own stunts for the GMA-7 show.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the August 10 press conference of Alyas Robin Hood 2, Ruru was inspired by Hollywood actor Stephen Amell, who is the lead actor of the U.S. series Arrow.
For his stunts in the primetime series, the young GMA actor is currently having Parkour training.
He said about this, "Pagod, delikado, pero sobrang adventurous ako, e. Kaya naman!"
Ruru knows that his scenes in the show will be a lot harder than those of his previous series Encantadia.
He excitedly told PEP, "Sobrang action talaga.
"Never pa ako nagpadouble like sa Encantadia, hindi ako nagpadouble.
"Pero this time kasi, feeling ko mas magiging mahirap to kasi maraming mga talon talon. Gusto ko kasi yun, e, yung ganun.
"So doon ako na-e-excite talaga kaya ngayon kailangan ko magpakundisyon talaga.
In Alyas Robin Hood, Ruru is set to play Andres, a geeky young boy who has a secret persona as "The Marbleman."
His character got that moniker because of the weapon he uses to save people.
What will be his relationship with main character Pepe, played by Dingdong Dantes?
However, the 19-year-old actor has not taped any scenes yet for the Kapuso series.
The former Protege finalist is currently using this time for workout.
"Work out ako everyday, parang six times a week. Three hours a day.
"Kaya na, kaya naman, sanay na, e. Wala na yung sakit ng katawan. Pagod, di mawawala."
DREAM SCENE WITH SOLENN. In his last interview with PEP, Ruru said that he is not sure yet if he's ready to go daring for the primetime series.
This is despite being told that his character is expected to show some skin.
This time, is Ruru finally ready to show his body for Alyas Robin Hood?
Ruru gave an outright answer: "Oo. Go!
In the series, he gets to work again with his showbiz crush Solenn Heussaff.
Now that he's doubling his time for work out, PEP.ph jokingly asked Ruru about the possibility of doing a daring scene with the sexy actress.
Ruru quipped, "Pag si Solenn? Oo! Gusto ko may bed scene!
"Why not? E, di go! As long as payag siya!"
First on screen kiss ko sa Karelasyon. Grabe!"
Aside from Dingdong and Solenn, Ruru's other co-stars in Alyas Robin Hood include Edu Manzano, Jay Manalo, Andrea Torres, among others.
This show, which will premiere on August 14, is helmed by Dominic Zapata.
