Real-life mother and son Sylvia Sanchez and Arjo Atayde are set to work in a new teleserye together.
The new ABS-CBN series had its story conference and look test on August 21.
Aside from Arjo and Sylvia, Yves Flores, Tonton Gutierrez, and Teresa Loyzaga will also be a part of the main cast.
Yves and Maris, who were first paired in the thriller movie Bloody Crayons, will also be a love team in this still-untitled show.
Marlo Mortel will also star in his first teleserye without his former love team partner Janella Salvador.
Other celebrities included in this series are: Rubi Rubi, Sharmaine Suarez, Ces Quesada, Mercedes Cabral, Anna Luna, Vivieka Ravanes, Nanding Josef, Christian Vasquez, and Hashtags member Nikko Natividad.
The new Kapamilya teleserye is produced by GMO Entertainment Unit, the drama unit helmed by Ginny Monteagudo-Ocampo.
The GMO Unit also produced Sylvia's breakthrough afternoon series The Greatest Love, which aired from September 2016 to April 2017.
No information has been provided yet about the new teleserye.
According to GMO Unit Synergy specialist Vaughn Hautea, Sylvia will portray "a different character of a mother" in this show.
This serves as Arjo and Sylvia's first full-length teleserye together.
They had the chance to work together in the 2014 Filipino adaptation of Pure Love, wherein Sylvia had a special role as the handicapped mother of Arjo's character.
The new series is also the reunion of Sylvia and Teresa in a drama series.
Both played major kontrabida roles in the 1997 drama series Esperanza, both as a villain to Judy Ann Santos.
The upcoming show will also be directed by The Greatest Love director Mervyn Brondial.
