Tony Labrusca reveals how Kathryn Bernardo makes his job easier for him and describes his few encounters with Daniel Padilla. The three star in the ABS-CBN primetime series, La Luna Sangre

Tony Labrusca did not make it as one of the five winners of ABS-CBN's reality-based TV show Pinoy Boyband Superstar. However, he is now enjoying his own brand of popularity, and as a solo artist at that.

He might not be a member of BoyBandPH but this 22-year-old actor is now popularly known for being the third wheel in the Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo-starrer La Luna Sangre.

WORKING WITH KATHNIEL. Although he is still a newbie actor, Tony is slowly making a name for himself, thanks to his role as Jake in the ABS-CBN top-rating teleserye.

He plays Malia’s (played by Kathryn) trusted friend, who also has feelings for her.

Since most of his scenes are with Kathryn, Tony revealed how helpful Kathryn is to him.

He admitted that the teleserye lead actress made the job easier for him.

“Lalo na nung first time ko na nasa bundok kami. Kath was really helping me out with I don’t have to move ‘kasi nagsusukat pa lang yung camera,’ or ‘eto yung ibig sabihin ni Direk,’ or ‘this is what that means,’ so she really helped me with the technicalities, the directing, the terminologies.”

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and selected members of the press, interviewed Tony during the August 22 launch of his debut single titled “Tanging Ikaw.”

“She helps me out with the scenes, as well and I always ask Kath for advice kasi I know since I’m the new one, parang laging ako na lang ang lagi nilang kailangang tulungan.”

Tony knows how difficult Kathryn’s role is so he tries to do his best when he works with her in their scenes.

“Gusto ko rin na tinatanong ko rin si Kath na, ‘Nararamdaman mo rin ba ang emosyon pag umaarte ako? Nakakatulong din ba sa 'yo sa eksena?’ I also want to help her out. I don’t wanna give her a harder time than she already is, kasi sobrang hirap ng role niya sa La Luna...”

He also opened up about the few times that he and Daniel met on the set.

“We haven’t been able to talk too much, but the times that I’ve met Daniel, we’ve been able to say hi and we’ve been able to have small talk and he’s a really nice guy.”

He also expressed his gratitude to Daniel for defending him after some KathNiel fans bashed Tony for being the third wheel in the primetime series.

“I really appreciate that and I’m proud of them for standing up especially since they’re the official anti-cyber bullying advocates here in the Philippines and I’m happy that they did that,” he beamed.

DEBUT SINGLE. Just recently, Tony finally got the chance to work on his music career with the launch of his first debut single titled, “Tanging Ikaw,” which he composed himself.

“I wanted to do anything that was new and fun and exciting I wanted to stick to the things I was passionate about which was also creating music. And I’m just really happy to be given this chance,” he explained during the preview of his song’s music video, directed by artist-band vocalist Kean Cipriano.
