Ian Veneracion's (middle) personal insight from A Love To Last: "I've learned the difference between the perspective of male and female... Sometimes we can be insensitive… Yun nga, ibang perception, iba the way we operate. Sabi nga nila, men are from Mars, women are from Venus sa the way we communicate."

Ian Veneracion quipped that he loves it when Bea Alonzo and Iza Calzado fight over him in ABS-CBN’s primetime series, A Love To Last.

Ta’s alam kong ako yung pinag-aawayan nila.

“Nae-enjoy ko talaga yun, ‘Girls, relax. Isa lang ako.’

“So, siyempre sinasampal nila ako sabay din.”

The 42-year-old Kapamilya heartthrob gave the statement during the presscon for A Love To Last’s final five weeks of airing as well as the show’s September 8 concert at Kia Theater.

The media event was held at ABS-CBN’s 9501 Restaurant on August 29.

Ian went on to share his thoughts about Kapamilya viewers being torn who between Iza and Bea’s characters deserve to end up with his character Antonio “Anton” Noble IV.

Bea plays the role of Andrea “Andeng” Agoncillo, the second wife and present love of Anton’s life.

Iza is Grace Silverio, Anton’s wife of 16 years and mother to their three kids, up until he asked for their marriage to be annulled.

Talking about their characters, Ian said, “About dun sa ibang tao favoring the wife, expected na rin yun because it’s a Catholic country and may mga conservative na mas gusto nila makatuluyan sa unang asawa talaga.

“And meron iba na sa kanila, mas in the present sila.”

Bea, for her part, was asked, hypothetically, what she would do if she happens to be in Andeng’s position in real life.

The 29-year-old Kapamilya actress replied, “Medyo mahirap pong sagutin ‘yan.

“Kasi yung character niyang Andrea, hindi rin naman niya pinangarap na malagay sa ganitong klaseng sitwasyon.

“Because we all know that it’s not an easy situation.

“Marami kang kailangan tiisin, marami kang kailangan harapin.

“Haharapin mo yun forever kasi meron siyang tatlong anak. Meron siyang ex-wife na ina ng mga anak niya.

“So, mahirap pong sagutin. Ang hirap din magsalita ng tapos, pero sa ngayon, sana huwag.”

A Love To Last is now on its last five weeks of airing, according to the press statement from ABS-CBN Corporate Communications.

Here, the cast members of A Love To Last shared what they have learned from the show, which started airing on January 12, 2017.

Ian Veneracion. “I’ve learned the difference between the perspective of male and female.

“My character's from a male point of view, for example sa script nakikita ko, sasabihin ko kay Andeng, ‘Bakit ka nagtatampo sa ganyan? In real life magtatampo ka talaga sa ganyan?’ Sasabihin niya, ‘Oo.’

“Ta’s ako, nasu-surprise ako. Oo nga, sometimes we can be insensitive…

"Yun nga, ibang perception, iba the way we operate.

“Sabi nga nila, men are from Mars, women are from Venus sa the way we communicate.

“Yun ang na-observe ko. And hopefully, tulungan ako nun maging better person in my personal life.”

Bea Alonzo. “Natutunan ko to never give up on somebody you love.

“Once you commit to loving someone, dapat paninindigan mo yun no matter how difficult the situation is.

“Siguro yun ang ingredient sa mga long-lasting relationships.”

Iza Calzado. “I’ve learned that when you are in a relationship, selfishness will lead you nowhere but heartache.

“Grace has become so selfish of what she feels that she hasn’t completely let go of this idea of love that she has for Anton.

“And hence, it is so hard for her to move forward in life.

“So for my character, once she completely lets go, life will be better and she will find a new love.”

Julia Barretto. “I think it’s learning to adjust to a certain situation and being accepting of what will make others happy.

“In the case of my character Chloe, she had to accept her dad was going to be married for the second time.

“I had to adjust to what will make my dad happy.

“And maganda naman yung outcome sa pag-accept ni Chloe sa second marriage ng dad niya.”

Enchong Dee. “The continuous search for belongingness.

“Kasi sa tinakbo ng show, there's a feeling na you don’t feel as comfortable kung hindi mo nararamdaman na, ‘A, ito pamilya ko. A, ito, belong ako sa lugar na ito.’

“Until we find that group or that certain someone, you won’t be happy sa ganung sitwasyon.”

JK Labajo. “Si Lucas, nahirapan siya tanggapin si Andeng sa buhay nila.

“If you love someone, kung saan siya masaya dapat maging masaya ka na rin dun.”
