Filipino-American dancer Mark Villaver enters the Top 7 of the U.S. dance competition So You Think You Can Dance.

This was announced during the Episode 11 of the 14th season aired last August 27.

The 27-year-old finalist had a Broadway-inspired dance number to the tune of "Criminal" by Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox feat. Ariana Savalas, with his all-star partner Comfort Fedoke.

High School Musical lead actress Vanessa Hudgens, who served as one of the judges, was quick to praise the Fil-Am hopeful.

She told the audience, "He’s amazing! I think he’s really coming with a strong sense of who he is and isn’t afraid to show that. I think that is such an admirable thing."

The other two judges were director Nigel Lythgoe and choreographer Mary Murphy.

Prior to joining So You Think You Can Dance, Mark was able to work with artists such as Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and even with Taylor Swift during her 1989 world tour.

In 2014, Mark's dance video with his deaf mother Emilia Villaver Daquiog became viral on social media.

Mark uploaded on his Instagram account a few snapshots of his performance in Episode 11.
