ABS-CBN's afternoon teleserye The Better Half, topbilled by Shaina Magdayao, Carlo Aquino, Denise Laurel, and JC de Vera, aired its final episode last Friday, September 8.
It aired its finale seven months after it premiered on TV in February 2017.
The last episode started by showing the death of its main villain Bianca (Denise) after she was shot by Marco (Carlo).
Marco had to shoot the main villain to save Camille (Shaina) and Rafael (JC) who were both abducted by Bianca.
Camille and Rafael were both rushed to the hospital.
As the doctors were trying to revive the couple, a dream sequence was shown with Camille and Rafael professing their love for each other in heaven.
Rafael then told Camille that he cannot stay with her and she had to go back because she was already carrying their child.
Camille was able to survive but Rafael was pronounced dead.
When Camille's parents (Nadia Montenegro and Rommel Padilla) told her the bad news about the death of Rafael, she had a breakdown.
During Rafael's burial, Camille said in her eulogy that on the eve of their wedding, he tried to sneak into her room and read her wedding vows.
However, Camille did not allow Rafael, telling him, "Maririnig mo rin naman 'yan bukas."
Unfortunately, Rafael wasn't able to hear it anymore after the kidnapping incident.
Camille then delivered her wedding vows, and told everyone, "I have to be the better person first to be the better half, his better half."
Years passed and Camille's son with Rafael grew up, and was named Julio Rafael.
When Camille visited the grave of her brother Julio (Zeppi Borromeo), Marco suddenly arrived at the cemetery.
The two chatted with each other regarding their lives.
When Camille left Marco, he stared at her and imagined how their life would be if they were still together.
